## **c.** Such other ways as the trustees may determine.’

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

During the period under review, the charity focused on networking and liaising with other charities and organisations that share similar charitable objectives, with the aim of exploring opportunities for collaboration and partnership working. These discussions were undertaken to assess how coordinated approaches could strengthen the delivery of charitable outcomes and improve the efficient use of resources. As a result of this engagement, the charity has become a voluntary partner in a collaborative consortium working towards poverty alleviation in Sri Lanka. The consortium brings together organisations with complementary expertise and shared goals, enabling collective action and knowledge sharing.

The trustees believe that participating in this coordinated initiative will enhance the charity’s ability to achieve its charitable objectives, increase its positive impact for beneficiaries, and contribute to more sustainable and effective outcomes over the longer term.

In accordance with Section 17(5) of the Charities Act and the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008, the trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit in exercising their powers and duties. All trustees have read the Charity Commission’s guidance, “ _Charities and Public Benefit_ ”.

The guidance was formally reviewed and the trustees have specifically considered the principles of public benefit, ensuring that our work provides identifiable benefits to the public in line with our objectives.

## Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main** As a newly established charity, the trustees placed particular emphasis **achievements of the charity** on assessing the needs of intended beneficiaries and on networking with **during the year** other charities and organisations that share similar charitable objectives. This approach enabled the charity to gain a clearer understanding of areas where support is most required, while also building relationships and identifying opportunities for collaboration. These activities have been successful and have provided a strong foundation for the charity’s future programmes. The trustees expect that this focus on needs assessment and networking will lead to direct and meaningful impacts for beneficiaries, delivered efficiently and in line with the charity’s charitable objectives.
