**Objects:** FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS ANIMALS, IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION AND TREATMENT FOR DOGS AND CATS WHICH ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE, RE-HOMING SUCH ANIMALS WHERE PRACTICAL AND APPROPRIATE, AND EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS PERTAINING TO ANIMAL WELFARE IN GENERAL AND RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP.

**Activities:** To promote humane behaviour towards animals, in particular by providing appropriate care & protection for dogs and cats which are in need due to sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage, re-homing such animals where practical and appropriate and educating the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and responsible pet ownership in Leicestershire.
