## **Achievements & Performances**

## **Annual Summary**

This year has been a period of exciting progress and meaningful impact for the charity. Central to our development is the construction of a new building, which will serve as the primary base from which the charity will operate. This facility is at the heart of our long-term vision, and we are thrilled to report that construction is progressing smoothly, with no setbacks encountered thus far. Regular photo updates are available on our website: https://bwa-org.com.

While the new premises in Sanghoi is still under development, we have continued our operations from a small, rented building, where we have successfully trained 20 young individuals in IT. This initiative has already created 7 permanent jobs, with participants now undertaking work for businesses in the UK. Once the new facility is completed, we aim to expand this programme significantly, providing more young people with valuable job opportunities and access to education through our dedicated IT centre. Our ultimate goal is to use education and employment as tools to empower youth and open pathways to a better future.

In addition to our education and training efforts, the charity also undertook key humanitarian initiatives during the 2024/2025 period. Through our Ramadan Food Appeal, we visited vulnerable communities in Pakistan, carefully assessing levels of need, and successfully delivered 160 food parcels to families in dire circumstances. We also conducted a Qurbani campaign, distributing meat to the poor and needy in the same region. The trustees and other valuable members of the charity have also come together to compile ideas for future fundraising activities and explore potential projects that align with our mission and community goals. This collaborative planning has laid a strong foundation for long-term sustainability and continued impact. As we look ahead, the completion of the building will enable us to consolidate and expand our operations, with a renewed focus on education, skills development, and sustainable livelihood support. The trustees are proud of the achievements to date and remain deeply committed to delivering long-term, transformative impact for the communities we serve.

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS REPORT FOR THE PERIOD 10 May 2024 TO 05 APR 2025 TO THE TRUSTEES**

I report on the accounts for the period 10[th] May 2024 to 05[th] April 2025 set out below.

## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**

The charity’s trustees responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for the period (under Section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act)) and that an independent examination is required.

Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit and is eligible for independent examination, it is my responsibility to:

- Examine the accounts

- Follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under Section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act); and

- To state weather particular matters have come to my attention.

## **Basis of the independent examiner’s report**

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

## **Independent examiners statement**

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

- (1) Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements have not been met;

or

- (2) To which. In my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
