## OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
## Activities
Feed the Birds is a unique nature based befriending service supporting lonely, vulnerable, isolated and often in ill health, adults in Shropshire. Volunteers visit the client in their homes and help fill and maintain bird feeders, developing a befriending relationship with them
## Public Beneft
Reducing loneliness and connecting with nature has been proven to improve both mental and physical health, decreasing reliance on The National Health Service, GPs, carers and family members.
## Safeguarding
Feed the Birds has a Trustee dedicated to Safeguarding, and they meet regularly with the Chair and Coordinator to review any safeguarding issues that arise. There were no significant safeguarding issues in the reporting period.
## FINANCIAL REVIEW
As a new Charity our aim is to build up a level of reserves equivalent to approximately 12 months of operating expense, through a mix of funding from charitable foundations, events, and donations. At year ending 5[th] April 2025, we had £34,780 of which £17,730 were restricted funds.

The Charity is controlled by its Governing Document dated 10[th] May 2024 and is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
