Our trustees are also the deacons of Union Chapel.
We are a small church struggling to keep its doors open with the help of dedicated church members.
As a church, we are currently members of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC).

The main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects are:
- Two services every Sunday (11am & 5pm), with youth and Sunday School (children) departments running concurrently in the morning service.

Union Chapel Bath receives most of its income from voluntary gifts to the charity. We also receive Gift Aid.
On occasion, we also accept a small payment from the local council to use our facilities as a polling station.

## Section D Achievements and performance
**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
Union Chapel has continued it’s weekly worship services every Sunday (11am and 5pm), which are also recorded and put on our web-site for the benefit of others. The services are live-streamed each Sunday via Zoom as a ministry to those who cannot attend in person.
Each week we also run a small Sunday School. This includes a minibus picking up children to come to the chapel from our neighbourhood, by prior agreement with the parents.
In addition to this, we run a youth Bible Study group during the morning service for teenagers who may not be able to cope with the deeper Bible teaching in the regular sermon.
Tea and coffee are offered after the evening service as a time of fellowship and refreshment for the people who attend.
On Monday we run a group mainly for seniors called, “Monday Meeting” which is well attended and much appreciated by those in the community.
Regrettably, we have had to stop our midweek children’s groups and youth clubs due to volunteer difficulties. Although we would still like to have these activities in our weekly program, they will not be returning in the foreseeable future due to our circumstances.
Our Thursday evening Bible Study and Prayer Meeting continues throughout the year.
Also throughout the year we have conducted weddings, funerals and Christmas carol services, plus extra services at Easter.
And on a personal level, we try to meet with individuals who seek spiritual support and guidance from us.

Union Chapel tries to maintain sufficient running costs while also giving to various charities and Christian workers. Further details are listed below.

As already stated, Union Chapel Bath receives most of its income from voluntary gifts to the charity. We also receive Gift Aid.
On occasion, we also accept a small payment from the local council to use our facilities as a polling station
The expenditure of our income is a testimony to our objectives as a charity (for full details we have a financial statement sheet for this period available upon request). We support one full time worker (our Pastor) so that he is able to facilitate the running of the church, and prepare the necessary messages and meetings. This is our chief expenditure.
But along side this we also aim to give over 10% of our income to other related charities. One good example of this is our giving to The Genesis Trust which is a local charity in the Bath area, caring for the homeless and needy.
We also have to fund the running costs of a building for meeting in (Union Chapel), as well as a house for the minister’s accommodation (the Manse).
We very occasionally make discretionary gifts to those in need or send flowers to those who are facing difficulties in life as an act of Christian kindness.
Then, we could also mention that we run a church web-site and also subscribe to SermonAudio.com which hosts our weekly church sermons, making them available to a wider audience – including those who are not able to join us on Sundays.
Finally, it is worth noting that the costs of running this small church would be higher still, but for the fact that many church members fund things for the different groups privately, bringing things to the meetings which they have already paid for without making any claims. These acts of generosity reveal how much the members of the church share a mutual concern for this work and the people we are trying to minister to, as well as a desire to spare the church some extra costs.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ("the Trust") for the year ended 31110312025.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation
basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act
2011 ("the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of
the Act or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
