Para 1.17 The objects of the CIO are the promotion of
community participation in healthy
recreation, primarily but not exclusively, for
the benefit of the inhabitants of Sefton and
the surrounding areas by the provision of
teaching, development and competitive
activities in swimming.
The CIO is committed to treat everyone
equally within the context of its activity and
with due respect to the differences of
individuals. This shall be, for example,
regardless of age, sex, ethnic origin,
religion, disability or political persuasion, on
any grounds.
The CIO shall not apply nor endorse
unlawful or unjustified discrimination and
shall act in compliance with the protections
afforded by the Equality Act 2010 (as may
be amended from time to time).
The CIO shall implement the Swim England
Equality Policy (as may be amended from
time to time).

Para 1.20 Crosby Swimming club continues to thrive
in the provision of teaching and
development in competitive swimming. The
club has 144 members, with 99 at the level
competing in swimming galas. We had 36
swimmers qualify for county
championships, multiple also qualifying for
north west regionals. We also have had
multiple swimmers competing and
swimming in the national swimming
championships, with 2 achieving gold
medals.
As well as succeeding in competition we
also have a further 45 members who just
train with the club.
We have maintained low membership fees
and an inclusive policy that allows
members from different socioeconomic
backgrounds to be able to swim and
improve their physical and mental health.

Crosby swimming clubacknowledge that
they are subject to the Regulations, Rules
and Constitutions of:
(a) Lancashire County Water Polo and
Swimming Association.
(b) Swim England North West Region.
(c) Swim England (to include the Code of
Ethics).
(d) Aquatics GB (formerly British
Swimming) and in particular it’s Doping
Control Rules and Protocols and the
Judicial Code.
(e) European Aquatics, the European
governing body for the aquatic sports.
(f) World Aquatics, the World governing
body for the aquatic sports (hereinafter
defined as “Rules of a Governing Body”).
This also means following Swim England’s
Safeguarding policies and procedures.
