The charity's objects are to advance education and public understanding of the work and legacy of Roberto Burle Marx, particularly in landscape architecture, environmental conservation and sustainable development; Summary of the objects of the promote research and education in these fields; support young people charity set out in its through educational opportunities; promote conservation of the natural governing document environment; and advance sustainable development for the public benefit. During the year the Foundation furthered its charitable purposes by supporting educational, cultural and environmental initiatives aligned with the legacy of Roberto Burle Marx. Activities included sponsoring cultural projects, developing the Foundation's website and public profile, supporting charitable organisations with aligned objectives, and maintaining the governance and administrative framework of the charity. The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit when planning and carrying out the charity's activities. Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
During the year the Foundation secured charitable donations to support its objectives, sponsored a Royal Academy exhibition, made charitable donations to organisations whose activities align with its charitable purposes, continued development of its website and public engagement, and maintained the governance structure necessary to support future charitable projects.
During the year the Foundation continued to establish its operations and expand its charitable activities.
Key achievements during the year included:

Securing charitable donations to support the Foundation's objectives.

Sponsoring cultural and educational initiatives, including support for an exhibition at the Royal Academy.

Providing grants and charitable donations to organisations whose activities align with the Foundation's charitable purposes.

The charity's principal source of income during the year was voluntary donations. Expenditure supported the Foundation's charitable objectives through sponsorship of educational and cultural initiatives, charitable donations, website development and administrative costs incurred in operating the charity. The trustees continue to monitor the charity's financial position to ensure sufficient resources are available to deliver future charitable activities.
