## **Trustees’ Annual Report** 

The trustees present their annual report and the financial statements for Athena Female Empowerment CIO for the period from 07 May 2024 to 31 March 2025. 

## **Structure, governance and management** 

Athena Female Empowerment CIO is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation governed by its constitution. The trustees are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity. 

## **Trustees** 

The trustees who served during the period were: Paul Smith (Chair) Fleur Pearch Victoria Woodhouse (served part of the period) 

James Lynch was appointed as a trustee during the period. 

## **Objectives and public benefit** 

The charity’s objects are to advance physical and mental wellbeing, confidence, and personal development of women and girls through amateur boxing and related sporting activities. The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. 

## **Activities and achievements** 

During its first period of operation, Athena Female Empowerment CIO focused on supporting female participation in amateur boxing through training, competition support, and community engagement. 



## **Financial Review** 

The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis. Total income for the period amounted to £800, with total expenditure of £1,400. The charity held no cash reserves at the end of the period. 

## **Reserves policy** 

As this was the charity’s first financial period, no reserves were held at the year end. The trustees will keep the reserves position under review as activities develop.
