Notes to the Accounts
1) Basis of Accounting
These accounts have been prepared on the receipts and payments basis, in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and the Charity Commission’s guidance for charities with gross income under £250,000.
This means that income and expenditure are recorded when money is actually received or paid, rather than when it is owed.
2) Trustee’s Loan
Trustees provided an interest-free loan of £2,053 to assist with the initial setup and start-up activities of the charity. The loan is unsecured and repayable only when sufficient funds are available.
No interest or remuneration is payable to the trustee in respect of this loan.
3) Reserves
At the year end, the charity held £1,185 in cash. After accounting for the trustee’s loan, the charity’s net fund position shows a deficit of £ (868). The trustees consider this deficit acceptable, as it reflects start-up funding provided by a trustee and anticipate that the balance will be repaid as future income allows.
4) Related Party Transactions
Apart from the interest-free loan disclosed in Note 2, no other trustees received any remuneration, expenses, or other benefits during the financial period. There were no other related party transactions requiring disclosure.
