Our purposes and acllvltl¢3
The charity was founded to further the values of Christy Lambe after hi$ death in 2022, followin8
a long battle with poor menial health. Christy was generous. thoughrful and lull of love in spite of
the challenges he personally taced. and he is the inspiration for all the charity's activities.
The purposes of the charity are:
to advance such charitable purposes for the public benelit os the trustee5 from time to time
see fit. in partieular. but not limited to, the making of 8rants for the prevention or relief ol
poverty. financial hardship andlor $i¢kne$$ ot-
those who are homeless or vtho are at risks homelessness; 8ndlor
such other persons who are in need by reason of physical or mental ill-he8lth.
sickness, unemployment. poor skills attainmeni or such other economic and social
disadvantsge.
The vision that shapes ourannu81 actlvilies is io generate a sense ot communitywithin M. Lambe
Construction and throughout the Midland$ byorganising eventsthat enablethe ch8rityto support
local people 8n¢J organisations.

Achlevernents and performance
During the flrsi year the charity has held 4 major luntjraising events alongside promoting
individualfundraising events. Thesewere attended by400.500 people and were 8150 used to raise
the prolile of the foundation.
The trustees Nvere pleased to raise over E116.000 ¢Juring the year.
The irustees were able to make donations exceeding E40,000 io T8bor House.
Flnanclal revlew
As this is the tirst year the foundation raised over £116.000 and donated more than É40.000.
At the 31 December 2024 the foundation had reserves in excess ol E50.000.
Plans forfuture perlods
The foundation has set out plansloi nextyearwhich include 5 eventg running8longsiOe individu81
fundraising. These have raised ovef £80.000 by Q3 01 the financial year. Grants have been made
to 3 charitable organlsations over the same perio¢J totalling £85,000.
Finanaial rn¥i•w
a. Going concern
After making appropriate enquiries, the Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the Charity
has adequate resources to continue in operational existence lor the foreseeable future. For thi5
reason, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the tinanci81 staiements.
Further details regarding the adoption of ihe going concern basis can be found in the accounting
policies.

The Trustees have examined the charity's requirements for the reserves in the light of the main
risks to the organi5ation. It has established a reserves policy whereby the unrestricted funds not
committed or invesied in tangible fixe¢J assets (that isthose funds that 8re freely8vailablel should
ideally be three to Six month5 operating expenditure.
Tot81 funds ol the Ch8rity at 31 Oecembei 2024 were E49.890 all of which was unrosiricted.
These reserves are held to maintain core a¢tivitiesduring period$ of redu¢ed income. andlunding
of new initiatives or projecis.

The Trustees (who are 81so ihe directors of the Charityfor the purposes of company lawl are
responsible for preparing the Trustees. report ènd the financial statements in aecordance with
applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounting Pr8Cticel.
Companylow require5 the Trustees to prepare tinancial statements for each fin8nei81 year.
Under company law, the Trustees must not approve the financial statements unless they ore
satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the stale of affairs of the Charity and of its
incoming resources and applicaiion of resources. including its income and expenditure. for that
period. In preparing these linaneial statements, the Trustees are required to:
select suitable 8ccouniing policies and then apply them consistently.,

All income is iecogniseo once ihe Charity h8s entitlement to the income, it is pfob8ble th8t the
income will be receiveo, 8nd the amouni of income recer¥able can be measured reliably.
Volunt8ry income is received byway of Oonaiiong ano gifts and is included in full in the Statement
of Financial Affairs when receivable.

2.3 Expendlturg
Expenditure is re¢o¥nised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transler economic
benefit to a third party. it is probable that a transfer ol economi¢ benefits will be required in
settlement and Ihe 8mount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified
by 8Ctivity.
Expenditure on charitable activilies is incurred on directly undertakingthe acttvities ￿lch further
the Charity's objeciives.
2.4 Cash atb•nkand In hand
Cash at bank and in hand in¢lude5 cash and short-tefm highly liquid investments with a short
m8lurity of thiee months or less from ihe dale of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar
account.

Liobilitie5 ond provisions are recognised when there is an obligation at the 8alan¢e Sheet date as
a result ol a past eveni. it is probable that a transfer ol economie benefit will be required in
settlement, 8nd the 8mount of the settlement can be estimated reli8bly.

The Charity only has financial asseis and financial li8bilities of a kind that qualify as basic
financial instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value
and subsequently measured attheir settiemeni value viith the exception of bank loans which are
subsequently measured at amortised Cost usingthe effective interest methoo.

2.7 Fund ac¢ounilng
General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees
in furtherance of the general objectives ol the Charity and which have not been designated for
other purposes.
Designated funds Comprise unrestrieted funds that have been set 8side by the Trustees for
particular purposes. The aim and use of e8eh designaied tund is set out in ihe notes to the
financial statements.
Restricted funds are funds which are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions imposed
by donors. or which have been raised by the Charity for particular purpo$e$. The ¢o$ts ol raisin8
and administering such funds are eh8rged against the speeilic fund. The aim and uge ot e8ch
restricted fund is set oul in the notes to Ihe financial statements.
3. Critlcal accounting estimat•s and area• ofjudgment
Estimotes ond judgments are continually evaluated and are based on historical experience and
other laetors, including expeet81ions of luture events Ihat are believed to be reasonable under
the circumst8nces.
