The Family of Abraham was established on 19 Apr 2024 to promote the Christian faith and support vulnerable people through community support activities.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The Advancement of the Christian Faith and the Promotion of Social Inclusion

And this is achieved by:

  1. Pastoral outreach activities in the local communities

  2. Prayer meetings with members

  3. Assisting family and children facing deprivation

  4. Supporting isolated older people to reduce loneliness and isolation.

  5. Health promotion

  6. Advocacy and interpreting services for those with language barriers.

  7. Helping residents to access services.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE PERIOD 2024-2025

Over the period 2024-2025 the organisation has delivered the following activities:

  1. Seven Pastoral outreach activities to promote the Christian faith across the the local wards.

  2. Eleven prayer meetings with 36 members over the period to increase understanding of the Christian faith.

  3. Interpreting and advocacy for 12 people to access services such as registering with GPs’ practices, applying for social housing, welfare benefits, hardship vouchers, applying for citizenship and opening bank accounts.

  4. Community outreach activities to 06 families to reinforce ties, resolve conflicts and disputes.

  5. Befriending activities for 11 isolated people to improve their health.

  6. Parenting skills sessions for 12 adult women and young mothers to improve their parental responsibility.

Notes to the Accounts for the Year ended 30 /11/ 2025

Accounting policies

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, as modified by the inclusion of fixed assets investments at Market value, and in accordance with applicable accounting standards and follow the recommendation in the statement of SORP 2011

1. Grants

Grants are recognized in the statements on accrual basis following the satisfaction of any preconditions.

2. Restricted Funds

Restricted funds are grants awarded for specific projects and cannot be used for any other project. We apply this rule strictly.

3. Reserve Policy

The charity reserve’s policy is to hold 6-10% of its total unrestricted income at the end of every financial year depending on the financial situation of the organization.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT

I report on the accounts of the Charity for year ended 30 /11/ 2025.

The trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts.

The trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under the Charity Act 2011

It is my responsibility to carry out procedures designed to enable me to report my opinion. My examination was carried out to ascertain that the accounting records kept by the charity are in accordance with the accounts presented with those records and that no unusual items or disclosures in the accounts come to my attention.

EXAMINER’S STATEMENT

The financial statements agree with the accounting records kept by the Charity, and have been drawn up in a manner consistent with the accounting requirements of the Statement of Recommended Practice 2011
