## Objectives and Activities
The charity’s objective is to provide inclusive, affordable, and accessible opportunities for swimming and recreational sport to people of all ages, with a focus on supporting children, young people, and individuals with additional needs. Our sessions promote physical activity, confidence, and social inclusion through a structured, community-based programme.
## Public Benefit
In line with the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit, the trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the public benefit requirement in the planning and delivery of all activities. Our services are open to the community and particularly support those facing barriers to participation in sport and physical activity.
## Achievements and Performance
During the year, STARS delivered a varied and inclusive programme of activities including:
- Swimming lessons across multiple venues, accessible to people of all abilities
- Tennis lessons, promoting coordination, agility, and enjoyment for young participants
- Multi-sports sessions, offering a variety of physical activities to increase engagement and develop skills
- Cricket sessions, supporting teamwork, confidence, and physical development
The charity continued to support children and young people, including those with additional needs. A key asset—the poolside hoist—ensured swimming sessions remained accessible to disabled participants. Sessions were delivered by qualified staff in safe, supportive environments and enjoyed high levels of participation.

## Financial Review
Total income for the year amounted to £66,262, sourced mainly from grants. Expenditure totalled £44,244, with the largest proportion spent on facility hire. Other key costs included staffing, equipment, and administration.
The charity ended the financial year with a closing cash balance of £22,038. Trustees are satisfied with the reserves, which will support short-term sustainability.
## Reserves Policy
STARS aims to maintain reserves equivalent to three months’ core operating costs to ensure continued delivery in the event of funding delays or unforeseen expenses.

## Structure, Governance and Management
