Given the charity’s small scale and limited operations to date, trustee induction has been informal. New trustees are provided with the charity’s governing document, Charity Commission guidance (including CC3 – The Essential Trustee), and a briefing on the charity’s objectives and legal duties. No formal training programme has been adopted, but trustees are encouraged to access external resources as needed
The charity is governed by a board of trustees who meet periodically to oversee activities and ensure compliance. There are no paid staff or operational subcommittees. The charity does not currently work within a wider network or umbrella organisation, but remains open to collaboration with aligned charities or community groups as activities expand.
The charity has no formal relationships with related parties. Trustees have declared any potential conflicts of interest, and no trustee has received remuneration or reimbursement during the year. All transactions are reviewed to ensure they are in the charity’s best interest.
Trustees have considered the principal risks facing the charity, including financial sustainability, governance compliance, and reputational risk. Given the charity’s limited income (£500 in donations during the year) and low operational activity, risks are currently minimal. Nonetheless, basic procedures are in place to ensure financial oversight, secure recordkeeping, and compliance with reporting obligations. Trustees will review risks annually and adapt controls as the charity grows.
