## **TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT**

The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the period from registration on 15[th] April 2024 to 31st December 2024.

## **OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES**

The objects of the charity as set out in its constitution are:

The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Appletreewick and surrounding villages (the area of benefit) without distinction of political, religious or other opinions including use for meetings and other forms of recreation and leisure -time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of the area of benefit.

The charity achieves its objectives by providing services and facilities at Appletreewick Village Hall for the purpose and benefit of the community.

The charity has continued to pursue these aims by ensuring the assets of the charity are managed efficiently

## **PUBLIC BENEFIT**

The trustees confirm that we have paid due regard to the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit reporting in deciding what activities the charity should undertake.

## **Activities:**

Events have included Coffee mornings, Pre loved item sales – Musical evenings – Plays – Domino drives – Burns Night suppers.

## **Community**

We continue to be aware of our demographic and geographic location and endeavour to encourage the community to use the asset. We encourage local groups to use the space for a variety of recreational activities and as a way of bringing the community together.

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW**

The charity is entirely reliant on incomes from events and rental of the space. To help with costs we have volunteers to help with the upkeep / maintenance to help keep the building viable for the future.

The financial statements show a healthy credit balance of £16,132. We aim to keep at least £5,000 in bank funds for the ongoing work of the charity and to cover unforeseen expenses. The remainder is used for improvements and maintenance as mentioned above.
