Charitable Objects:

The main objectives of the charity are listed below:

• To advance and promote education of young people in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world by providing funding, grant and/or items to

charities or other organisations whose aims include advancing education of persons under the age of 25 years by developing their knowledge, mental, physical and moral capabilities through education, training and leisure time activities.

• The advancement of environmental protection in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world by providing funding, grants and/or items to charities or other organizations which promote, for the benefit of the public, the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment and/or the education of the public in such work.

• To assist in the relief of suffering among victims of natural or other kinds of disaster in the form of providing grants and/or items to charities or other organizations (or other means deemed suitable), in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world affected, including the provision of medical aid.

5. Reserves Policy

We aim to hold unrestricted reserves equivalent to 12 months of operating costs to ensure continuity of front-line services. At 31 March 2025, unrestricted reserves were £488,633.

The Trustees are responsible for ensuring that the charity identifies and manages the major risks it faces. Risks are reviewed regularly to assess potential threats to the charity’s operations, finances, governance, and reputation. Key risks include:

Mitigation measures: The team that carries out the due diligence team undergoes regular safeguarding training, and quarterly risk reviews are done by trustees. The due diligence process involves on-site visits on top of face-to-face interviews with potential grant recipients.
