OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Holy CT05S PCC ha5 the re5pon5ibility of promotin8 in the ecclesiastical parish ihe whole mi￿10￿ of thc Church
pastoral, evangelistic. social and ecumenical. It also has mainienance responsibiliiies for Holy Cr05s Church, a Grade I
listed building.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
The Electoral Roll was T¢vised in 2025 lfvThlamenthl revision is due every Six years) and l￿W shows 45 people. The
Worshipping Community is estimaied to be in ihe Order of 40 people who Tegularly attend some services, and over 75
including those who also attend more ￿caSIonallY. There are also a growing number of families with yowig children
who have engaged with Messy Churth events (held in the Wickham I￿StIlUte}BilLstCd Villa8e Hall) durin8 the year, and
we hope that this, as well as attendance 8enerally. will 8row fi￿her in the furure.
Revlew of the Ye*r
In 2025 the full PCC had five meetings. all of ￿1¢h were held in person.

and the Wickham Ins(ittKe. The village VE Day commenN)raiion celebraiion was also very Success￿1. Oiher fundraising
activities included Line Dancing Cla￿t5 arml providing the for the open weekend for the National Garden Schen
event af Wheatley House.
Restoration of the Easi Wilxlow and surr¢)undtng sti)n¢work. which had been plantKd for some time was undrrtaken in
2025. At the same time we had some ￿ld1110n01 external yonework renovated.
Other community activitics Incl￿ regular mid-weck praycT and bib]e St￿lY groups. brth daytill￿ and evening.
A chutchyatd workitL8 party took place and tree maintenance was again Ca￿led out by Hampshire Tree and Garden.
The ¢xtension to th¢ ¢hur¢hyard to provide addilional space for l>urials is nearing completion.
The Reordering Projeci Team coniinued io work on The pla￿8 for the inmallaiion of roilet facilities for church, and
although ￿ have now rcceiTrtd Local Authority Plartning Pemiission, Ihere is ffiJrther planning work ￿ do.
Our link with Karamoja in Uganda coniinues io be fosiered wilh the pmision of s￿￿ent bursaries for ihe irainin8 of lay
m2nisL¢rs.
The Friend5 of Binsted Church scheme has been f0m￿LlY launched wih the aim of helping to support the future
maintenance of our beaulifvl chuwh building aTMI we are receiving regular applicatio￿￿. We are especially grateful for
the time and energy of all ihose involved in gelling ihis stsrted.
The PCC has complied with the duty under section S of the Safeguarding and Clergy Discipline Measure 2016 (duty to

Following a few years of some strain on our filla￿es followinB urgent rqMit5 lo thE ch￿￿h. 2025 was a relatively 5tfddy
year of consolidation.
Our income from regular givers has increased by 4Y• in 2025. with platc inco￿￿ from church services increasing by

and mission.

The PCC has ¢ontinued to agrtt to a tenth of all Giving received each n￿n[h io be rethined for good causes. The good
causes coniinue to be KarJmoj4 Tear Fund. Si Mi¢hae]s H05pice and contributing lo the employment of an Anna
Chaplain. The church also continues ￿ suppon the Ahon Food Bank with colleclions of non-perishable fwds.

The Common Mission Furwj paid to ihE Dioccse (previously called The Parish Shatt) was £31,020 for 2025, an Increase
of £1.731 on 2024. 11 is worth noting her¢ that the figure for 2026 will be £30,951, a small decre￿ of £69.
