## **1. Structure, Governance and Management** 

The charity is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (charity number 1207725) and is governed by its constitution adopted in March 2024. 

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall management and administration of the charity. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the governing document. 

During this reporting period, the charity was newly established and no additional trustees were appointed or removed. 

## **2. Objectives and Activities** 

The charity’s charitable purposes, as set out in its governing document, are: 

_1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF WOMEN IN ANGOLA IN THE SUBJECT OF LITERACY BY PROVISION OF STRUCTURED ADULT LITERACY CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS._ 

_2) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP IN ANGOLA AND SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, HEALTHCARE PROJECTS AND ALL THE NECESSARY SUPPORT DESIGNED TO ENABLE WOMEN TO GENERATE A SUSTAINABLE INCOME, BE SELFSUFFICIENT, AND BECOME ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES._ 

No charitable activities, projects, or fundraising took place, as the trustees were preparing the necessary administrative policies, documentats and governance arrangements required for future operations.
