The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019). ## **1. Structure, Governance and Management** The charity is a CIO (Foundation model) governed by its constitution as registered with the Charity Commission. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the provisions of the constitution. The trustees listed have all served since the commencement of the charity on 4th April 2024. They were delighted to welcome Richard Springford as an additional trustee on 28th August 2025. The trustees meet regularly to oversee governance, financial stewardship, and delivery of charitable activities. Day to day operations are carried out by volunteers and partner organisations; the charity employs no staff. Risk management is reviewed annually, with particular attention to safety of volunteers during humanitarian operations, financial controls, and the safe transport of aid. ## **3. Objectives and Activities** ## **Charitable Objects** As stated in the governing document: "For the public benefit, the relief and assistance of non combatant victims of war, natural disaster, trouble or catastrophe in any part of the world, in particular by transporting supplies, aid and other items to those in need and by working with other organisations to provide such relief and assistance." ## **Public Benefit Statement** The trustees confirm they have complied with the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. All activities undertaken during the year directly support the relief of suffering among civilians affected by conflict or disaster. ## **Main Activities Undertaken** - Coordinating the transport of humanitarian supplies to affected regions. - Partnering with recognised NGOs to deliver aid safely and efficiently. - Providing logistical support to organisations responding to emergencies. - Raising funds to support relief operations and essential goods procurement. Achievements and Performance** During the reporting year, the charity delivered meaningful impact through the following: ## **Humanitarian Support** - Purchased 37 vehicles. These were serviced and repaired, taxed insured and delivered to Ukraine. - Transported essential supplies (Generators, food, medical kits, clothing) to Ukraine affected by war. - All aid and vehicles were delivered by our volunteers and handed over directly to the end users in Ukraine. ## **Collaborative Projects** - Participated in joint logistics operations with British Ukraine Aid, Stand for Ukraine - Provided volunteer drivers, vehicles, and transport coordination for emergency shipments. ## **Awareness & Fundraising** - Held fundraising events and social media campaigns support humanitarian missions. - Engaged with the Worshipful Company of Carmen City of London Livery Company to promote awareness of global humanitarian needs. ## **5. Financial Review** ## **Income** Total income for the year was £221,881, all from Donations and Fundraising. ## **Expenditure** Principally was: - Vehicles £153,214 - Repairs £18,870 - Transport £16,178 - Other aid £23,363 - directly charitable £2,854 The charity ended the year with net assets of £7,403. ## **Reserves Policy** Given the nature of the charity's work, trustees aim to maintain reserves of £2,000 to ensure rapid response capability during emergencies. ## **Going Concern** The trustees consider the charity to be financially stable and able to continue its activities for the foreseeable future. ## **6. Plans for Future Periods** In the coming year, the charity intends to: - Expand its humanitarian transport capacity. - Strengthen partnerships with international relief organisations. - Develop a rapid deployment logistics framework for sudden onset disasters. - Increase community engagement and fundraising initiatives. ## **8. I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under Section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## **Independent examiner's statement** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by Section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or 3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. ACCOUNTING POLICIES** ## **Basis of preparing the financial statements** These financial statements have been prepared on the receipts and payments basis in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011, the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008, and the charity's governing document. The receipts and payments account summarises the cash received and cash paid during the financial year. It does not include income due but not yet received or liabilities incurred but not yet paid at the reporting date. The statement of assets and liabilities sets out the charity's cash balances and any other assets and liabilities held at the end of the financial year. The trustees consider that the charity is eligible to prepare its accounts on the receipts and payments basis because its gross income for the financial year does not exceed the statutory threshold permitting this method of accounting. ## **Income** Income represents all amounts received by the charity during the financial year and is accounted for on the receipts and payments basis. Income is recognised when it is actually received into the charity's bank account or in cash. ## **Expenditure** Expenditure comprises all payments made by the charity during the financial year and is accounted for on the receipts and payments basis. Expenditure is recognised when payment is made from the charity's bank account or in cash. ## **Taxation** The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities. ## **Fund accounting** Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees. Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
