## **Purpose and Activities** 

Hope Begins is dedicated to lifting children out of poverty through sustainable, long-term support. In partnership with Naomi’s Village, a children’s home, preschool, and school in Kenya, we help provide a nurturing environment where children can thrive. 

Through our child sponsorship programme, Hope Begins ensures access to quality education, school transportation, books, supplies, and uniforms. Sponsored children also receive nutritious meals, regular medical evaluations, and spiritual care and development. 

## **Achievements for 2024** 

- Successfully registered with the Charity Commission in April 2024. 

- Established 13 monthly child sponsorships. 

- Held two fundraising events, raising a total of £2,997. 

- Sent £4,589 directly to Naomi’s Village to support the care and education of children.

The trustees consider the financial position of the charity to be sound for its first year of operation and are committed to ensuring resources are used effectively to further the charity’s aims. 

## **Looking Ahead** 

In the coming year, Hope Begins aims to: 

- Increase to at least 25 monthly child sponsors. 

- Raise £1,000 per month in regular donations. 

- Secure a UK church partnership to broaden community engagement. 

- Launch a regular newsletter to strengthen supporter communication.
