Reaching Out is governed by a board of trustees who are responsible for strategic direction, compliance, safeguarding, and financial oversight. Trustees meet regularly to monitor risks and ensure good governance in line with the Charity Commission’s guidance.

## **Main Activities Delivered** 



- Digital inclusion & skills workshops 

- Coffee mornings & social activities to prevent loneliness 

- Friday sermons focusing on mental health & wellbeing 

- Free meals during Ramadan 

- Arts and crafts sessions for stress relief 

- Employment support workshops (CV writing, job applications) 

All services are delivered in East London, primarily targeting low-income, vulnerable and isolated members of the community. 

## **4. Public Benefit Statement** 

The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. All activities are designed to benefit the public regardless of background, faith, or ability to pay. 

## **5. Achievements and Performance (2024–2025)** 

- 120+ residents supported through wellbeing and social activities 

- 50+ people received digital skills support 

- 300+ free meals distributed during Ramadan 

- 20 individuals helped with CVs, job applications and employment advice 

- New community partnerships formed with local schools and faith groups 

## **6. Financial Review** 

The charity did not earn income or incur any expenditure during the year. 

The charity continues to rely on donations, grants, and fundraising. Funds are spent directly on charitable activities, venue costs, and essential operational costs. The trustees consider the financial position satisfactory and sustainable. 

## **7. Reserves Policy** 



The charity aims to maintain a modest reserve to ensure continuity of services and cover unforeseen costs. The trustees review the reserve level annually. 

## **8. Plans for the Future** 

- Expand digital inclusion training (Reaching Online project) 

- Recruit and train more volunteers 

- Apply for multi-year grants and partnerships 

- Increase outreach to vulnerable elderly residents and low-income families
