archive of information and artefacts. and by delivering
events and publications.. to Promote and support the
preservation of heritage in Coleorton for the communlty.

activities and events inchjding history talks. exhibitions.
heritage ¢offee momiNJs, heritage walks, publications and
articles, undertaking research and responding to enquiries.

In May 2024 we hekl iwo open days wth St. Mar￿8 Chur¢h
which Included celebrating the Beaumont faMil￿S
contrlbution to the establishment of the National Gallery and
reshowed the film 'The Gmt. svhich wag originally shown as
separate event in March 2024.
In September 2024 as part of North Wesl Loicestershire's
Helkj Herhage month we held an exhibition on 'Col8orton
Peopl&'. We also joined wlth Newtdd Heritage Group lo
celebrate 100 years Since the opening of New Lounl
Colli8ry.
In October 2024 we hosted 8 talk on mlning in Coleorton.
In Dec&mber 2024 we supported Coleorton Parish Counal
Wtth a Community Christrnas Event.
Members of the Group undertook training in Oral History
provided by Leicester Universlty, which was paid for by a
grant and recording equipment to continue with this project
W88 purchased.
Throughout the year we have condnued lo coffee
momings to share and dlscJJss heritage and engage wlth
our local cc*nmunit . We have conlinued to develo new

publications on a range of sufyeGts such as Coleorton at
War and have updated the Coleorton Herltsge Trail leaflet.

addition tc the financiol year 11412024- 311312025.
The newly formed CIO received a donatlon of £3852 from
its pred¥•ssor irrformal organisation.
During this first reporting period the CIO generated an
Incom8 of £6427 including a grant of £940.
The Clo expenditure during this period was £1689.
