Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The charity continues to provide a weekly training session for beginners new to the sport. Three volunteers oversee the running of the session. Throughout the year we have seen a steady flow of new girls join the group, with many girls enjoying the sport and attend the session regularly. The sessions are attended by 8-15 girls. Since Easter we have seen an increase in new players attending due to the favourable weather. The U9 team enjoyed a very successful season, training weekly and playing league, cup and friendly games on a Saturday morning. The club organised a swimming pool event at Christmas. A trip to see England Ladies play football was organised in November.

the charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising);
-
how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity;
Our main source of income this year has been grants and contributions from parents. We received a £1600 grant from Huntingdon District Council and £200 from Living Sport Huntingdon. Grant income is generally used to subsidise facilities hire costs and to support training of volunteers and equipment, any remaining grant income is used to promote the weekly development session.
Parent contributions are used to support specific team activity, for example winter training premises and team league entry fees. The swimming pool event was subsidised. The England football game was non-profit making with the costs incurred subsidised fully by participants attending the event.
- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.
Section F Other optional information
The coming year will see our development sessions continue weekly, with the sessions now being free of charge to all participants attending. This will be subsidised by remaining and new grant income being applied for. The structured sessions build confidence and skill level enabling players to progress on the pathway into a team.
