The trustees of Bridge of Uniry present their rewrt and the finaneial statements for the
p￿10d ended 31$1 March 20?5.
Aims and objectives of Bridge of Unity
The eharitys objectives are to advance the Islamic faith anywhere in the world for the
bcnefit of th¢ publi¢ through the holding of prayer meetings, lectur.s, public celebration
of religious festivals. producing and/or distributing lileran￿e on Islam to ¢nlighten
Muslims and non-muslims about ihe Islamic faith. In furtherdnce of these puo)oses the
harity will also relieve the need of individuals, including reaching out to those who feel
that they excluded from the wider community.
En planning the activities for the year. the trustees had regard to the Charity
Commission's guidance on public benefit and ensured that aciivities were undertaken to
provide identifiable benefit to the public or sufficiently widc sections of the public. and
that any privat¢ b¢n¢fit was incidental. The charity's progrdnunes are designed lo be
cessible and lo remove barriers to participalion where possible, with an emphasis on
inclusion and community cohesion consistent with the charity's objxts.
Summary of xctivities and achievements in 20￿2025
During the period the charity received total incoming resources of £244.209 and applied
Ih¢s¢ funds across a range of charitable activities and appeals ill furtherance of ils
obje¢is. The tnLslees stNCWred delivery around key acrivity headings. combining (l )
faith-based education and outreach and (2) relief of need and hardship, includin8 both
UK-bascd support and overseas humanitarian responses.
A core strand of work involved Strengthening communiry undeTStanding thmugh
structured learning and accessible religioLbS education. Expenditure ineluded 'Da'wah
Programme, and 'lslamic Education & Lectures.. These activilies wer¢ directed toward
public education. enabling wider engagement with faith-based learning thmugh modern
channels and supporting community parti¢ipation in lectures and educational sessions.
By investing in digital deliicry, the charity improvcd reach and a¢cessibility* SUPPOrting
individuals who may not oLierwis¢ be able to attend in-person provision and enabling
broader dissemination of learning rcsouTces to Muslim4 Non-Muslim5 and Converts..

The chartty supported also educational advancement and welfare through various
Educalion Proj¢cts. This arca of ¢xpcnditure reflects the wtees, fi￿ on improving
opportunity and relieving disadvanlage through education-rela¢ed interventions. The
trustees monitored these projects lo ensure ihat funds were used for charitable purpo￿$
aud that activities aligned u'ith the charity's objectives and intended beneficiaries.

This strand of work aims to provide prnclical and social support. reduce isolation, and
strengthcn community linkÉ thereby contributing to public benefit through improved
wellbeing atjd community cohesion.
The trustees recognise thai public bellefit includes supw)rting individuals and familie5
experiencing hardship, distress or isolation. During the period, the charity delivered
stgnifi¢aDt support through Mental Health & Wellbeing Support and Mindful Ummah
Projects. These initiatives were focused on supporting wellbeing and resilience.

The charity also provided direct support wiihin the UK ihrough Ilelping UK Projects
and community SUPPOrt acl'.vity including Trood Drive Projects. These programmes
delivered public benefit by relieving nccd and hardship, providing praciical assistsnc¢ to
Ihose facing financial pressures and food insecurity. and strengthening local solidarity
through community mobilisalion and giving.
Th¢ year 2024-2025 also in-luded continued humoniiarian responses and hardship relief
overseas. reflecting the chariiy's relief-of-need purw)se in further4￿e of its objects.

Income raised for restricted appeals included Palestine Appeal (£3,925) and Syria
Appeal (£1,000) {restricied funds), which We￿ applied in accordance with donor
restriciions. The trnstees ensured that restricied fi￿￿$ were ttzcked appropriately and
spent only on their intended purtx)5es. with clear documentsUOD supporling the
allo¢ation and application o( funds.

The trustees also operaled a lo￿/• donatiOD wlicy for eligible app¢als, under which
donor_designated donations were applied in full to charitable activities. To ensure this
conunitment could be delivered responsibly, the chariry maintaiiled a separate streani of
voluntary contributions sp¢¢ifi¢ally lo meet core operating and SUPF4)rt costs (including
gov¢rnan¢e, ¢omplian¢e, administration and ¢sseDtial infrastructurel. Contributions to
this overhead fund were made by a combination of individual donoffj corporate partners
and Ihe trustees theTnselves. enabling the charity lo cover overhea(b withoul reducing
funds intended for frontline delivery. This approach sttengthened donor confidence.
gUPPOrted transparent re￿rtIng and ensured that operaiional expenditure was properly
planned, authorised and documenied while protecting restricted and appeal-related
income for its intended Charitable purpose.

The trnstees place strong ernphasis on 0￿ratIng responsibly and trdnsparenily. During
the year, the charity maintained appropriate policy guidelines and documeniation io
support safe and effective delivery. This includes governance and financial procedures
(such as auihorisaiion controls and documented approval processesl safeguarding and
welfare considerations where a¢tivities involve wmmunity engagement, and appropriale
reLord-k¢¢ping to evidence decisions. expenditure and outcomes. The trustees also
maIn￿1n a ¢ulture of compliance, ensuring the charity's work is Consistent with its
objects, charity law, and the standards expected by the regulator.

no other trusiees. All of the irustecs namcd in the charity information served throughout
the period. The board has the power to appoint adth'tional trustees if it considers fit to do
so.

Statement of Trustee's Responsibilities

BASIS OF PREPARATION
The charity constitutes a public bencfit entiry as defined by FRS102. The
fll)ancial ststements have been prepared in accordance with,4ccouniing and
R¢porting by Charities Ststement of Recommended Practice applicable 10
charities preparing their accounts and in accordan¢e with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS102)
issued on 16 July 2014, the Charilies Aci 2011 and UK Generally Accepted
Accounting Practice a$ it applies from 01 January 2015.
