Trustee Statement
31[st] March 2026
1. Aims and Objectives
The Trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year 31[st] March 2026. The charity’s objects are to promote for the public benefit the advancement of road safety, specifically focusing on motorcyclists, by providing education, training, and awareness campaigns to reduce accidents and fatalities.
2. Achievements and Performance
This year, our organization has made a significant impact on road safety through:

Training & Education: 46 riders completed our advanced motorcycle safety courses, with 28 members achieving advanced status. We also trained 4 members to National Observer status and added one new Masters Mentor

Outreach & Awareness: We held monthly all members meetings focusing on all aspects of road safety with guest speakers including The Police accident investigation unit, Examiners from The Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists (IAM), specialist accident solicitors, Air jacket specialists, and ear plug specialists etc

Volunteer Impact: Our volunteer instructors donated more than 600 hours of their time, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective training to our associates and assisting in promotional events.

Public Benefit: All activities were aimed at fostering a safer riding culture, reducing the social and economic cost of accidents, and improving the skills of riders.
3. Financial Review and Reserves
The charity is funded primarily through membership fees. The Trustees have reviewed our reserves policy and believe it is appropriate to hold 6 months of operational costs to ensure the sustainability of our training programmes.
4. Risk Management
The Trustees have assessed the major risks facing the charity, including the inherent risks in motorcycle training and the reliance on volunteers. We have implemented a robust risk management framework, which includes:

Safety Protocols: Comprehensive risk assessments for all training activities, adhering to IAM standards.

Insurance: We hold public liability and personal accident insurance for instructors and participants via IAM
5. Future Plans
Looking forward, we intend to continue to help new Associates reach an advanced riding certificate (IAM) help Green Badge Holders move on to master’s qualification - the highest of civilian riding certificate in the UK
Look to encourage younger member to the group 20-to-30-year-olds and have now received financial support in this aim from The Police Commission of Hertfordshire – we have a good deal of interest at this initiative at this very early stage.
Maintain safe governance and safety for all members which is reviewed on a regular basis
Ensure all charity funds are properly accounted for and used to further our charity aims.
