The Red Violin registered charity organises events and festivals celebrating the violin across the arts, in various guises, often in partnership. The title was inspired by 'Le Violon Rouge' paintings before the film of the same name. The Founder Patron was Lord Menuhin. Events include concerts (classical, jazz, Indian music, folk music etc), talks, workshops, exhibitions, walking tours, film etc
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are To Advance The Arts, In Particular The Art Of Music Associated With The Violin (And Similar Musical Instruments) For The Public Benefit By The Organisation And Provision Of Festivals And Events Related To The Violin.
