For the sake of transparency, we wish to clarify that our first annual report was over reported and submitted with financial accounts covering the period up to 20 August 2025. Upon review, we have identified that the accounts should have covered only the period ending 20 October 2024, in line with the applicable reporting requirements.
This discrepancy arose due to an administrative error in determining the correct reporting period for the company's first annual accounts. As a result, the accounts submitted extended beyond the required accounting reference date. We acknowledge this error and are taking the necessary steps to ensure that future annual reports and financial statements are prepared and submitted in accordance with the correct reporting periods and all applicable statutory requirements.
Who are we?
The Intrepid Games Foundation is an organisation focussed on holding yearly games for emergency services personnel who have been injured / disabled in the line of duty. This is for the following services - Ambulance, Police, Fire, and Coastguard. We may review this following the first event.
We have also launched a schools programme teaching about kindness, disability and citizenship, which also supports the above programme through the fundraising activity attached to it. We educate children from the ages of 5-11 years old.
We have launched the schools programme this year and have already educated over 1200 children thus far with more planned for the forthcoming year. We have extended this also to Police Cadet groups and other community groups such as Scouts etc. This has been very successful in this reporting period and we hope to further this challenge to extend it to all UK schools. This has taken up a great deal of our time and fundraising activities. Whilst the fundraising is slow and steady we are very pleased with the uptake and encouragement from the schools we have delivered this too thus far.

The Intrepid Games foundation hopes to launch a once yearly event and is actively fundraising towards the target of £25,000 to launch the first one. Whilst in the current climate fundraising is difficult, we are successfully raising funds through our schools initiative and also corporate sponsorship. We will focus on mental health and physical recovery for disabilities that are as a result of personnel being injured on duty through the power of sport. We aim to hold this at Stoke Mandeville Stadium once our fundraising target has been reached. Personnel can be serving or retired / discharged from the emergency services. We hope to build a community of all the services coming together to support one another and to support the families of those who have been affected also.
This year has been a successful but slow start! Throughout this year we have reached many organisations who actively support those who have been injured on duty, to raise awareness of our campaign.
19/03/24 - 20/10/24 I ncome should have been- £78.95 as we were newly registered and weren't actively fundraising during this time.

Expenditure outgoings of £3,881.70 ( Workbooks, medals, challenge coins, Emergency Services Show networking stand)

The remaining funds were all donated by contributions from our Odyssey Project. Funds are all raised by children who complete the challenge.
Our Background
Kerry was injured on duty as a Police Officer and subsequently started sitting down volleyball for Hampshire. During this time, she established that there was nothing competitively for those who have been disabled / injured on duty to compete in. The Invictus games do not support emergency services unless they have previously served in the military. Research was conducted with many supporting Police and Fire charities however there has been no intention to set up anything of this magnitude. Therefore the Intrepid Games was founded in order to fill this gap and support our emergency services. There does seem to be a distinct lack of funding for this area, so our primary fundraising focus for this will be the Odyssey Challenge. This can only take place in term time only, and upon agreement of the schools to be their charity for the year, so this will take some time to build momentum.

The Current income for the charity at this stage is sub £25,000 as per the charities commission guidelines, so therefore does not require an independent examination of accounts at this stage.
