This is for the following services - Ambulance, Police, Fire, and Coastguard. We may review this following the first event. We have also launched a schools programme teaching about kindness, disability and citizenship, which also supports the above programme through the fundraising activity attached to it. We educate children from the ages of 5-11 years old. We have launched the schools programme this year and have already educated over 900 children thus far with more planned for the forthcoming year. ## _**In More detail…**_ The Intrepid Games foundation hopes to launch a once yearly event and is actively fundraising towards the target of £25,000 to launch the first one. Whilst in the current climate fundraising is difficult, we are successfully raising funds through our schools initiative and also corporate sponsorship. We will focus on mental health and physical recovery for disabilities that are as a result of personnel being injured on duty through the power of sport. We aim to hold this at Stoke Mandeville Stadium once our fundraising target has been reached. Personnel can be serving or retired / discharged from the emergency services. We hope to build a community of all the services coming together to support one another and to support the families of those who have been affected also. This year has been a successful start! Throughout this year we have reached many organisations who actively support those who have been injured on duty, to raise awareness of our campaign. We have been very generously supported by the following grant making organisations Serco Foundation - who have contributed £2000 towards our Odyssey Project. This will be fixed for medals, workbooks and challenge coins for schools interested in our project. Serve & Protect - who have contributed £5000 towards the Intrepid Games event itself. This has been fixed and held for this event. A total of £2550 has been granted to us through Hampshire County Council (Gosport and Fareham Councillors) towards the cost of medals and Challenge coins for the schools initiative. It costs approximately £1200 for 300 children to participate in this project. Each school subsequently raises £30 per child to take part in this initiative and we receive any profit towards the intrepid games. This is the children’s legacy in enabling this event to go ahead. They in turn receive a medal or challenge coin for their amazing efforts. We are so very grateful at this stage for the schools that have supported this initiative already and cannot wait for more schools to be involved. The success of this event does not solely rely on the Odyssey challenge. We are so appreciative of the corporate sponsors that have shown an interest in the charity and those that have already donated. ## **Our Background** Kerry Snuggs BEM has experience of setting up charities that have been very successful. Kerry was injured on duty as a Police Officer and subsequently started sitting down volleyball for Hampshire. During this time, she established that there was nothing competitively for those who have been disabled / injured on duty to compete in. The Invictus games do not support emergency services unless they have previously served in the military. Research was conducted with many supporting Police and Fire charities however there has been no intention to set up anything of this magnitude. Therefore the Intrepid Games was founded in order to fill this gap and support our emergency services. The Trustees declare that they have approved this trustees' report and the unaudited accounts on The Current income for the charity at this stage is sub £25,000 as per the charities commission guidelines, so therefore does not require an independent examination of accounts at this stage. ## **Income -** Donations and Grants - £9953.18 Expenditure - £1902.60 (Workbooks, Coins and Medals) During startup - Other items have been donated by the Charities founder - Insurance, Website and event items such as flyers and stands. Cash at Bank - £8050.58 Fixed funds - £5000 from Serve and Protect for the Intrepid Games Event - £2580 from HCC for Medals, challenge coins and workbooks. Any funds received from the Odyssey Project will be used for the sustainability of the project and towards the Intrepid Games event.
