for the Period 13 March 2024 to 31 March 2025
The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the period 13 March 2024 to 31 March 2025. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objects and aims per governing document
The objects of the CIO are, through financial or other support:
A) To promote for the benefit of the public, the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.
B) To promote for the benefit of the public, mental health and wellbeing.
C) To advance, for the benefit of the public, the performing arts with a particular emphasis on music and support for younger people, to raise standards and encourage events and performances to take place.
D) To advance, promote or carry out such charitable purposes as the Trustees in their absolute discretion think fit. Preference will be given to Stamford (Lincolnshire) and its surrounding area but is not exclusive and can be applied at the Trustees absolute discretion.
Significant activities
No activities took place during the year and the charity was dormant. This was due to delays in the planned transfer of resources into the charity.
Public benefit
The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty under the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when exercising their powers and planning the charity’s activities
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Charitable activities
No activities took place during the year therefore there are no achievements to note yet.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial position
The charity received no income during the year and incurred no expenditure. The subsidiary owned by the charity is also dormant.
Reserves policy
The reserves policy will be reviewed following receipt of the initial donation. .
FUTURE PLANS
The charity is to receive monies from a sale of land. This is part of a large development which will generate a large amount of capital to be used against the chanty's' objectives. This is expected to be received over the next few years in line with the land development plan.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
The charity is controlled by its governing document, its constitution, and constitutes a charitable incorporated organisation.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
Trustees are recruited on a basis of their skills and experience. They are appointed in line with the requirements of the governing document, through approval from the existing trustees.
Induction and training of new trustees
At present the charity does not operate a formal training programme for new trainees. However, all trainees receive an induction covering the charity’s purpose, governance, policies, expectations, and essential procedures to ensure they can carry out their role safely and effectively.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financial statements of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland' and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, with the exception of investments which are included at market value.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial statements.
Investments
Investments relate to shares held in a subsidiary company and are recognised at orignal cost. The investments are reviewed annually for any impairment.
2. TRUSTEES' REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS
There were no trustees' remuneration or other benefits for the period ended 31 March 2025.
Trustees' expenses
There were no trustees' expenses paid for the period ended 31 March 2025.
