and the surrounding area without distinction of
gender, sexual orientation. age. ra￿ or polltlcal,
religious or other opinions by providin8
allotment facilwtse5 in the interest of social
welfare for reueational leisure tlme occupation
with the objective of improving lrfe for the
residents.
The Trustees have continued to provide
allotment faciltties for the residents of
Brentwood and the surrounding districts and
have implemented improvements to the
facilities offered by the purchase of additional
equipment, the maintenance of the
environment and the extension the water
supplies.
The Trustees have kept in mind the
Commission's guidan￿ on public benefit and
believe that the activities above have
contributed to the social welfare and improved
lrfe for the residents.

Achievements and Perfonnance

The Trustees have ensured thatfull use of the
available fa(ilttie5 has been achieved and all
plots have been fully letthrough0￿ the year. By
ensuringthat no plots are left vacant the
association has maximised benefit to the
residents of Brentwood and the surrounding
area. Having collected the rentsl and other
income, the Trustees have considered how best
the revenue c3n be utilised to improve the
faalities and experience for the member5. This
year the Trustees have:_
Extended the water supplies to create an
additional water point in the vines area.
Removed a fallen tree from the nearby stream
that was causing flooding on some of the plot5.
Rernoved several nuisan￿ trees growlng on one
plot whith were hamperrng the cultivation of
crops,
Repaired the damage caused by a large fallen
tree to the vines area.

Cash atthe bank at 3V1125 was £6261in
unrestritted funds. There are no foreseeable
finanaal risks to the charity.
Of the £6261, E2525 is held as deposrts against
failure to leave a plot in good condition on
termination of tenanLy. These are refundable
deposits if the plot holder temiinates the
tenancy leaving the plot in good lettable
condition. A further £180 is reserved for a
known rent bill not yet reoived from
Brentwood council.
