The advancement of education of young people by providing advice and assistance on managing their own and other mental health, in particular by not exclusively by:

Helping young people by developing their skills and capacities when dealing with difficult personal situations;

• Providing access to counselling and mental health professionals when required;

The provision of recreational and leisure time activities to allow young people to express themselves and use as a

coping mechanism from challenging situations that may have a negative impact on their lives;

Education workshops for parents and young people to think about prevention of mental health issues and support that is available;

• Raising awareness of mental health, how to recognise symptoms of suicidal ideation and self-management techniques.
The charity has developed 3 mental health workshops to deliver to you ng people in local sports clubs/community.
We have already delivered a workshop to 28 young people and are planning to roll out further workshops over the summer of 2025.
We are also having conversations about the access young people have to clinical mental health specialists and how we can offer access to young people working with The Roar Trust.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
As the charity if in its infancy we have prioritised developing our good governance. We have drafted and adopted several policies that hold the charity to account as well as ensuring the delivery of content is of a quality standard.
We have developed a working relationship with the Huish Tigers sports clubs and delivered our first workshop to 28 young people aged between 11-14. Feedback from the participants is extremely positive. This has allowed us to review the workshop that has been written to shape the delivery content.
We now have social media and a website to promote the charity.
We ran a successful launch event with over 60 people supporting the charity and generating funding for the work we are developing.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves
The charity is newly established and so is building its reserves policy. The aim is to hold between 3-6 months operational costs in hand to support in the case of a lack of funding. Due to the early stage of the charity, the operational costs (and hence level of required reserves) are currently being established.
