Serving the Lord in Truth Ministries
2024 Annual Trustees’ Report
Serving the Lord in Truth Ministries Reporting Period: 1[st] January to 31[st] December 2024
1. Charity Overview
Serving the Lord in Truth Ministries is a Christian organisation committed to the advancement of the Christian faith. Our mission is to train and educate church leaders, workers, and members in Nigeria and other parts of the world, not excluding the United Kingdom.
2. Key Activities and Achievements
2.1 Serving the Lord in Truth Ministries was formally registered as a charity with the Charity Commission and HM Revenue and Customs in 2024.
3.1 Baptist College of Theology, Agowa, Lagos
We attended the college's graduation ceremony in June 2024 to appreciate the efforts and support of Professor Oyemomi in accepting and incorporating Bible and Ministry studies into the college curriculum. His ten-year tenure as college rector came to an end in June 2024. Professor Oyemomi fought so hard and faced so much opposition from some of the college’s leaders, but with God’s help, he persisted and was resolute in his love for the work of God, and God helped him to succeed in getting the studies incorporated into the school curricula. We also awarded the Bible and Ministry students and lecturers the following certificates:
-
A) Certificate in Bible and Ministry’s Spiritual Formation
-
B) Diploma in Bible and Ministry’s Spiritual Formation and
-
C) Appreciation Certificate and small gifts to the lecturers and college officials who taught the courses during the year.
3.2 We supplied workbooks for the certificate and the Diploma levels to the college for the 2024/2025 College new students.
3.3 Baptist College of Theology, Isokun, Oyo.
We started talking to the college about the Bible and Ministry courses from the last quarter of 2023. We engaged the Rector of the College, Professor Mrs Ayandokun. We had several telephone conversations with her on the Bible and Ministry courses. We sent her the details of the courses and enumerated the uniqueness of the courses in helping students with their spiritual formation as Seminary students, and how the Bible and Ministry courses can complement the college degree programmes. With the grace of God and the favour of the Holy Spirit, the college started the teaching of the Bible and Ministry in early April 2024. We made arrangements with our staff in Nigeria to supply course materials to them.
We stopped over at the College to check on their experience on the program, and we were positively encouraged that the students of the college were enjoying the studies, and the main

lecturer of the course gave us his testimony that his encounter with the Bible and Ministry has caused him to go back and study the book on Mark again given the exposure he has gained from teaching the Bible and Ministry courses at the college.
We supplied further materials for both the Certificate and the Diploma courses to the College.
3.4 Bible and Ministry in Churches
We organised an interdenominational conference for pastors and church workers at Oke Okanla Baptist Church, Osogbo, in August 2024. The conference was well attended by church leaders from Ile-Ife, Osogbo, Oko, Ejigbo and Ondo. We had over seventy people in attendance at the conference. After the introduction of the courses, we studied Mark chapter one together at the meeting. We worked through the workbook, with the emphasis on maximum participation by everyone in the study group. We supplied four workbooks to each participant, which they could use to review and begin the courses at their churches. They should keep us updated on their progress and any challenges they encounter during their studies. All in all. The conference was an eye-opener for Rachel and me as we saw the direct impact of the study on people and how quickly the church can be influenced by the power of the Holy Spirit, helping people to study and encounter the God of the Bible.
Mr and Mrs Sangodele (deceased)
It is with a heavy heart, but with gratitude to God, that we record the passing to glory of Mr Akanbi Oladejo Sangodele and his wife, Mrs Moradeke Sangodele. Both died late March and early April 2025. Mr and Mrs Sangodele were staunch supporters of the Serving the Lord in Truth Ministries' work. They stood shoulder to shoulder with us right from the inception of the Ministry work in August 2004. Not only did they host us every year from 2004 till the time of their death, but they also supported us in prayers, donations of money and materials, and constantly encouraged us throughout. We are grateful to God for the parts that He enabled these dear godly couple to play in the ministry work. We pray that our Heavenly Father will reward them and their generation according to His riches in glory.
4. Future Plans
Looking ahead, we aim to :
-
Looking forward to the visit of Professor Oyemomi to the UK in early 2025.
-
Launch the Nigerian charity and open a bank account for the Charity
-
Expand training to additional theological institutions
-
Increase donor engagement and community partnerships
5. Acknowledgements
We extend our deepest thanks to all our donors, partners, volunteers, and church communities. Your faith, generosity, and encouragement empower us to continue fulfilling our mission with dedication and grace.
