**Objects:** THE CIO’S OBJECTS ARE TO PROMOTE THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF OLDER PEOPLE IN AND AROUND MERE, WHO ARE IN DANGER OF ISOLATION AND LONELINESS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY PROVIDING A SAFE PLACE TO MEET, WITH A NUTRITIOUS LUNCH AND STIMULATING ACTIVITIES.

**Activities:** The Mere and District Day Centre is an independent charity which provides a safe and caring place for older people to meet on Mondays and Fridays throughout the year. They enjoy a range of stimlulating activities, together with a hot lunch. Most of our guests live locally to Mere or the surrounding villages, but some come from further afield if they have no provision in their own area.
