Although Crook Community Association CIO was given its own entity, in February, we have not been able to move forward as quickly we would have liked. Unfortunately our new registration did not corne through in time for us to submit our application for funding through the Community Ownership Fund and we had to wait for the next window to open. We were emailed on a Thursday that this would be happening on the following Monday. Then on Saturday we were sent another email telling us that this had now been cancelled due to the Government calling the election. Timing was not on our side, again. This meant we continued fund raising towards the future purchase of our building at the same time as tying to find alternative funding opportunities. Later in the year we approached our bank to organise the change of name on our accounts and were assured that this shoulthi't take long to achieve and the paperwork was obtained and completed. This did not turn out to be accurate and at the end of the year we were still operating under the St. Catherine's Community Association banner. We therefore have no accounts to submit this year, with this limited Annual Report, and we can only hope that 2025 is more productive.
