Rlsk assessment The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed. such as those relating to finance and child welfare and are satisfied that systems are in plate to mitigate our exposure to the major risks. Our Safeguarding and Child Protection policy was reviewed and updated in 2020 and all trusteeslemployees/contracted artist5. who are United Kingdom citizens. are subject to enhanced checks via the Dis¢losure and Barring Service. For international tutors. where the Disclosure and Barring Service checks are not possible, the trustees are satisfied that we have procedures in place that follow our safeguarding and Child PTOtettion Euidelines. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT FINANCIAL REVIEW Reserves pollcy The charity's policy is to carry forword sufficient funds in reserve to cover the organisation's running cost5 and to ensure stability. OBJEcfivES & AcfiviTIES Play 2 is dedicated to promoting events and activilies which support the education arhd performance of the classical guitar in a variety of different setting5. These range from celebrating exceptional musical achievement to encouraging the grass-roots, or sUPPOrting teachers by developing their professional skills. Our work is defined by participatory and inclusive events which promote ensemble playing, youth promotion concerts and individual tuition5. Play 2 prides itself on being able to nurture artistic development in those who have little, or no experience of the arts, whilst being able to inspire gifted youngsters to even greater creative achievements and experience5. Play 2 promotes educational activities, ranging from one- day events to annual festivals which unite people of different ages, abilities and batkgrounds. These events give participants an opportunity to learn with leading musicians. hear professional concerts and experience all the benefits of social music-makinB. The qu311ty and expenise of the festival iutors and guest artists at our events is at a level that is particularly difficult for people to normally access. We are also keenly aware that despite having no fees, some children will struggle to attend our events because of lack of travel funds frorn rural villages and so our Bursary Schemes are able to offer both partial or full asS15tance to those with financial need. The administration of Play 2 is exclusively run on a voluntary basis. We continue to actively pursue a wider funding base in order to achieve our potential and play a lead role in guitar education throughout the UK and in Armeni3.

PLAY 2 TRUSTEES, REPORT YEAR END 30 DECEMBER 2024 ACHIEVEMENTS & PERFORMANCE 202412025 Significant activities National Youth Guitar Ensemble Iplay 2 Youth) The regional National Youth Guitar Ensembles have a total ol three groups based in Yerevan, Armenia. Rehearsals take place throughout the year by local teachers in schools and by music distributed by the international teachers and artists from February through to July. followed by an intensive non-residential week in July. bringing together all groups from around Armenia. Combining ensembles provides the players with a unique experience to create larger guitar orchestras and by doing a grand finale concert at one of the main concert halls in Yerevan. The Play 2 Youth is entering a development phase to lay the foundations for increased engagement as peer mentors and workshop leaders. Plans include looking to commi55ion new work5 for the ensemble. Play 2 Aspire Our Aspire program draws on the exceptional talent studying at, or recently graduated from Armenian or UK Music Conservatoires. and offer5 at least 2 early-career guitarists unparalleled opportunitie5 to develop their performing, workshop leadership and ensemble skills. Development Play 2 has continued to pursue it5 programme of team development in order to 5trengtherb its resilience as an organisation and create more opportunities for future expansion. Play 2 supports a mentor scheme for undergraduates and recent graduates to develop their professional skills working within Play 2 settings. Each Play 2 Armenia location has a mentor who shadows the musical director, helping in rehearsals and leading sectionals a5 required. Play 2 represents the pinnacle of the route of progression for youn8 guitarists throughout Armenia with the mentorship of UK and internationally renowned artists. Play 2 has been exploring ways in which to inspire young guitarists at an earlier stage of development and engage with the wider musical community. PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT Play 2's charitable purposes support the advancement of education, arts and culture predominantly, but not exclusively, for children and young adults. Our activities give children access to the highest Possible level of classical guitar tuition. from internationally renowned teachers and our concerts nurture their artistic appreciation.

To assist with this policy. Play 2 is exploring vafiOUS funding avenues at these challenging time5. Shortfalls are covered by the founder of the charity, Emily Telami. PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS The key strategic aims for Play 2 remain unchanged for the future.
