## **CHAIRMAN’S REPORT:**

Hatch Beauchamp primary school has been without any form of financial and physical support from Parents for quite some time. In December 2023 the new charity was formed to help raise much needed funds, equipment and resources to benefit the children attending the school. In addition, we have also been able to organise social events for the children to attend and enjoy.

In the four months the new FOHBS (Friends of Hatch Beauchamp School) has been established, we have donated to the school:

- Puppet books for the Nursery children

- Number blobs to aid learning

- Picnic blankets for the comfort of children at story time and other sitting activities

- Footballs for PE and playtime

- Equipment for the school dinosaur project

FOHBS has also been able to provide:

- Ice creams for the children at sports day

- The first school disco for many years which was greatly enjoyed by the children

Along with the great work provided by our teachers, we are working to raise the profile of the school and attract interest, support and new attendances from local villagers.

We have raised funds by holding Christmas games for children and parents. Most recently we held a Summer fair at the local village hall and which was well attended.

Our focus for the coming twelve months is to continue to provide essential equipment, to continue to offer a range of exciting activities for the children to enjoy and encourage socialisation outside of school time.

We aim to provide a forestry garden within the school grounds, a new playhouse and some diddy bikes. These additions will encourage the children to be outside and enjoy their environment whilst learning about nature at the same time.

We plan to raise funds for the above with a programme of exciting fundraising events throughout the year. We will be making applications for suitable grants for our projects, and we also hope to increase the level of donations.
