The Trustees of the Hall took the decision to convert into a CIO chanty In line with many other charities doing the same. The Hall charity ceased operating formally on 30 September 2024 and the CIO commenced operating w11h effect from 1 October 2024. The Management Committee and Trustees of the CIO are the same as for the Hall and the activities remain identical lo those previously provided by the Hall. The CIO is a separate legal entity lo the Trustees and provides limited liability for the Trustees of the CIO organisalion. This will make it easier for the CIO to recruit and keep Tnjstees A new Trustee of the CIO has been appointed. Mr Martin Hannaford has accepted the appointment with effecl from 1 October 2024. Income & Expenditure Account The CIO did not trade during this current period.. full details of the trading of the Village Hall are shown In the Hall's financial accounts Balance Sheet Cash al Bank al 30 September 2024 of £60.083 held in the Current Account represents a partial transfer of cash from the Hall In anlicipalion of the transfer of the day to day operations of the Hall lo the new CIO. Our solicitors are In the process of transferring the freehold property from the Hall lo the CIO This matter has been ongoing for a number of month5. on￿ the various refurbishment works In the hall have been completed the Village Hall and Assets are to be revalued and this is likely to be reflected in the next annual Accounts. In Conclusion The Trustees are pleased that funding has been provided by various parties over the last lew years and In particular the substantial funding provided by the HKVT Charity lo date as shown the formal Accounts of Rusper Village Hall Icharily No 2362041 as well as further funding which we will report on in our next Annual Report We will like lo thank all at the HKVT Charily for their support during the various works as well as the generous funding provided to date We thank Mike Ward for reviewing these Accounts.
