Structure, Governance and Management Refugee Support Hub is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). The trustees are responsible for ensuring the charity operates in accordance with its constitution and complies with all statutory requirements. ## 2. Objectives and Activities The objects of the CIO are for the public benefit, to provide relief to refugees, asylum seekers and displaced people in the UK by to help them resettle by operating Welcome Hubs providing support services to help with their education, language skills or employability/ housing/ mental health needs, so as to advance them in life and assist them with the adaption within a new community, with the objects of: - 1. Preserving and protecting the physical and mental health of refugees, asylum seekers and displaced people in the UK. 2. Advancing their education and training. 3. Relieving them from financial hardship and unemployment. These aims are intended to be achieved through services such as welcome hubs, integration support, education and language assistance, employability guidance, housing support, and mental health support programmes. ## 3. Activities During the Reporting Period During the period 05/02/2024 – 31/03/2025, the charity did not formally operate, and no structured charitable activities were undertaken. Although the charity remained legally registered, it did not yet commence service delivery, fundraising, grant-making or operational programmes. The trustees focused on administrative setup and compliance processes required for future activity. ## 4. Public Benefit Statement The trustees have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. While no activities took place this period due to the early stage of development, the trustees are committed to ensuring that all future operations deliver clear, measurable public benefit. ## 5. Achievements and Performance As Refugee Support Hub did not begin operations during this reporting period: - No charitable services were delivered - No grants were received or awarded - No income-generating activities occurred - No fundraising events or campaigns took place ## 6. Financial Review The charity had no income and no expenditure from 05/02/2024 to 31/03/2025. Total income: £0 Total expenditure: £0 Total funds carried forward: £0 ## 7. Reserves Policy As operations have not yet commenced, a reserves policy has not been required for this period. A formal reserves policy will be developed once the charity begins to receive income. 8. Risk Management Operational risks remained minimal as the charity did not conduct activities. The trustees ensured compliance with reporting requirements and maintained proper governance arrangements. ## 9. Plans for Future Periods During the next financial period, the trustees plan to: - establish Welcome Hubs and support centres - begin offering educational, language, housing, employability and mental health support - engage and train volunteers - develop partnerships with community groups and funders - begin applying for grants and establishing fundraising activities ## 10.
