Objectives and Activities
AFC Totton in the Communitv's purpose is to promote community parhcipation in healthy
recreation by the provision of facilities for activities, particularly the playing of football. It is
the charity side of AFC Totton Football Club and is actively involved in community activities,
including supporting local charities and raising awareness for various causes.
Achievements and Performance
AFC Totton ha5 also seen signifi'cant growth and impact off the pitch through AFC Totton in
the Community work with the local communitie5, charities and groups and schools.
Since the successful award of tharity status for AFC Totton in the Community in February
2024, it has eriabled the club to further develop its links an(J engagÈment with the local
community and various charitable groups. We have also strengthened engagement through
nitiakn.ves such as CommtJrFity Notice Boards within the clubhouse and by becoming part of
the Warm Welcome Campaign, offering a free, safe and welcoming space for local people to
connect.
Throughout the football season and during the break, AFC Totton has proudly 5UPPOrted a
broad range of local and national charitr'es through matchday promotr"ons, programme
features, local and national awareness campaigns, bucket collectr"Dns. raffle prize5 and
dedicated f undraising events.
This has empDwered the local community to link with the club tg raise their own f unds and
awareness thanks to the generosity of the clubs rna nag?ment, Sponsors and supptsrters for
their organisations and causes, this has included The Alan Ball Foundab"on, Altie'5 Wish,
Mountbatten Hampshire, Baby Necessities, Breast Cancer Awarenes5 IGD Pink), Brib'5h Deer

dcvelDpment of its own futu re community projects. Th15 incl Ljded an Overnight SleepoLJt at
the stadium, organised in conjunctron with Specsavers and the YMCA, which raised funds
whilst also highlighting the issue of homele5sne55 Wlthin the local area. The sleeping bags
Used were 3150 donated after the event to SouthamptDn Streot Angel5.
AFC Totton in the Community has continued to take a proactive role i n deliverin8 awarenoss,
inclusion and participation initt"atrves. These have included organising the Remembrance
Match and club's contribution to the Poppy Appeal, del ivering awareness campaigns for
Menta l Health Week, Knife Crime Awareness Week and Gam ble Awa rer)ess Week. this
included the production of a dedicated mental health awareness video includingAFC Totton
players and sUPPOrters.
AFC Totton in the Community links with the variou5 teams under AFC Totton including the
Walking Football team, including celebratr'ng the achievements of one of its female players
who represented England in Mexico 1971, with her cap presentation on the pitch as part of
the wider COPA 71 legacy.
AFC Totton in the Community has also worked closely with local creatr.ve and community
partners to begin implementing al) LGBTQ+ football team, strengthen lin ks Wlth AFC Totton
Pan-Disability teams, and help SLJPPOrt the continued development of youth and ladies
teams as well as helping to set up the newly launched Beach Soccer team who won their
first tournament under the AFC Totton badge. Support has also been given to Young Carers
which has included football sessions Wlth AFC Totton first team players providing them with
inspiratt'cinal and memorable experiences.
Alongside these initr'ativos, AFC Totton in the Community has continued to build strong
relationsh ips with local schools and college5. This included seth.ng up school assemblies,
undertaken by the First Team Manager, Di rector of Football and various AFC Totton players
to encourage and inspire young people. Complimentary match tickets were also provided to
schools for various matches to encourage young people to attend a match.
Alternative Provision (API educah.on is alsD basèd at AFC Totton, AFC Totton in the
Community secu red an £800 grant to provide bespoke designed by the attendees, kit,
helping to build confi"dence, identity and engagement.

Overall, through matchday bucket collections, charity matches, donated raffle pri2e5, kn.cket
donations and dedicated fundraising events, AFC Totton in the Community has helped
contribute to the local com munity and charity groups raising over £35,000 during the
period, while also securing some fundingto develop its Dwn sustainable community
prograrn mes. With charity status now secured, it 15 well placed to expand impact further by
increasing its own fu ndraising activity to support the development and accessibility of Youth
Dèvelopment team5 and academiès, Pan-Di5abil ity fDDtball, LGBTQ+ initratives and Walking
Football as well a5 infrastructure and equipment for sustainable activity.

only a football club, but a positivè, inclusive and la>ting force at the hea rt of its community.
Financial Review
AFC Totton in the Community's total income for the period 2, February 2024- 31" March
2025 was £ 1,742,. £942.00 unrestricted income wa5 generated through a match day bucket
collectr.on and BIG Sleep Out fundraiser and £800.00 restricted income following a grant.
Expenditure during the period totalled £0
At the year end, the charity held £942.00 unrestricted and £800.00 restricted reserves in its
commur)ity bank account, totalling £1,742,00. This will be used to fund future activities and
events as agreed by the Trustees or in as the purpose of the restricted funds grant
conditions.
Structure, Governan¢e and Management
The charity is governed by its constitutr"on, adopted on 2, February 2024, in accordance
with the Charitable Incorporated Organisath'ons (Generall Regulatrons 2012.
Trustees are appointed by the existing board in l ine with the constrtutr.on and may serve for
renewable throè-year terms.
The trustees meet quarterly to review progress, approve budgets, and plan actr"vitr"es.
Day-to-day operation5 are carried out by the Charities and Communities Manager who IS
volunteer, with oversight from the Chai r and Treasurer.
