tho Charities Act 201 l and the Chariiies Statetnent of Recomm¢nded Practi¢¢ (SORP), applicable to charities preparing
their accounts on a rec¢ipl8 Oyhd payments basis.
OWECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objettives and aims

Pllblie benefjt
The trustees havc had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidan¢e oll public benefit. The activities undertaken
during the period were directed toward providing benefit to the public and seetions of the community through charitkble
ndraisin& donatiOP5, volunteering, and practical community support.
Volunteers
The work of the charity is SUPPOrted by volunteers. The Iru51ees give their tim¢ freely and receive no financial benefrt
for their services. From time to timq additional volunteers assist with fundraising aud community activities.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable 8etivities
The Coventry Phoenix Lions Club (CIO) is a recently r¢gist¢red charity (No. 1206820) in the West Midlands focused
on general charitable purposes, including supporting the local community and providing grants to individua15 and
organizations. They are part of the international Lions service network, focused on heal￿ disability supixirL and
commllnity welfare.
This pcriod Covers the ¢stablishment and early developm¢nt of Coventy Phoenix Lions Club CIO following its
registrdtion in February 2024.
During the period. the Club successfully..
- organlsed and supp(Trrtcd fundraising ¢venis'
raised fvnds through donations, memberships, and ¢V¢Dt activities.
- made charitable donations to support individuals, groups, and cause5 ID n¢ed; and
- promoted volunteering and service within the local community.

The charity had ti)tal inwming resources of £48,486 for the period. primarily d¢rived from donaiions. fundrni5ing
even15, contributions. and m¢mb¢rship fees.
Totdl resourc¢s expended atllount¢d to £47,387. including charitable donations. event cos15, subscriptions. and support
cosis. The period resulted in a net surplus of £1,099.
The trllsiees consider the financial p051tion at the period end to be satisfactory. 'the charity does not CUJTently mainiain
a fornial reserves policy; however, the tnLStees aim to maintain sufficient fi￿d$ io meet ongoing commit￿ents and
support planned charitable activitl¢5.
Reserves pollcy
The trustees do not ¢urr¢ntly operate a fonnal resetves policy. No significant f]nan¢ial commÈtments had be¢n entered
into at the period end, and the tsvsttts consider the level of fi￿d5 held to be adequate to meet the ¢harity'5 Short terni
n¢¢ds.
FUTURE PLANS
In the coming y¢ar, the Irustees intend to..

rnanaged by its ttvstee5, who are also memb¢rs of the club and are appointed in accordance with the governing
document.
The trustees meet regularly to review the charity's activities. fjnances, and governan¢¢ matters, and they ensure
compliancc with their dutie5 and responsibiliti¢s under charity law.

The financial statements of the charity, which is a public beThefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in
accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by ChaTities'. Statem¢nt of
Recommended Practice applicable io charities preparing their accounts in accordanc¢ with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102), (effective l January 2019),
Financial R¢p(Trrting Slandard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in th¢ UK and Republsc of
Ireland, and the Charities Act 2011.The financial statements have been prepared under the historical Cost
conventi￿.
