Report on Charitable Activities
Throughout the year, Ayesha Youth Project has continued to pursue its charitable objectives by supporting young people and local communities within the London Borough of Newham and surrounding areas. The charity organised and delivered a range of educational, recreational, outreach, and community-based activities aimed at developing the skills, confidence, and wellbeing of young people aged 16 to 25.
The charity provided coaching sessions, workshops, community engagement activities, volunteer programmes, and recreational events designed to promote social inclusion, personal development, and community participation. Support was also provided through outreach initiatives, mentoring, and activities intended to improve opportunities for education, employability, and social welfare.
In addition, the charity organised community events and activities that encouraged participation, wellbeing, and positive social interaction for individuals facing social and economic disadvantage. These initiatives contributed towards improving the conditions of life and promoting the welfare of beneficiaries within the local community.
The trustees would like to express their appreciation to all volunteers, supporters, and contributors whose continued support has enabled the charity to carry out its activities and further its charitable objectives during the year.
Statement of trustees' responsibilities
The Charities Act 2011 requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Charity and of the surplus of the Charity for that period. In preparing those financial statements the trustees are required to
-
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
-
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
-
prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the Charity's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities..
