ANNUAL REPORT 2024
2024 was a reset year for Honley Youth, we had previously been operating as part of Honley Village Community Trust CIO (1195759). However, in the interests of both parties it was agreed to set up a new Charity (Honley Youth) and run the Charity as a separate organisation.
2024 was spent setting up the new Charity through the Charity Commission, recruiting Trustees to help run the Charity and then agreeing our CIO, way forward and setting up a Bank account to help run the charity.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances this took most of 2024.
The Trustees were appointed be the end of Q1 2024 and then we had various meetings to agree the way forward for the charity considering our published CIO.
The Bank Account was in place by October 2024 at which time the outstanding balance of the money held by Honley Village Community Trust CIO could be moved over in time for Honley Youth to start operating in 2025. The movement of money was agreed at the Honley Village Community Trust meeting on 6[th] November 2024.
Towards the end of 2024 we put in place an agreement with KYA, to continue with youth work in Honley.
KYA are currently being paid for by HVPC, to undertake youth work across the Holme Valley, this includes time for a Youth worker to spend around 4-5 hours in Honley undertaking youth work with Honley High School and detached youth work.
Through Honley Youth funding we are increasing the amount of hours Tyler will spend in Honley in 2025 by another 7 hours (initially), this will go towards planning, running and providing feedback on 2 youth clubs being run in Honley Community Centre.

Due to the reasons given above our Account submission for 2024 is minimal.
The only transaction was the money transferred from Honley Village Community Trust CIO. No money was actually spent by Honley Youth during 2024 as the year was spent preparing ourselves for a re-launch in 2025.
