**Trustees Annual Report - Let’s Learn UK 26[th] January 2024 to 30[th] September 2024** 

The following was achieved during the financial year 26[th] Jan 2024 to 30[th] Sept 2024 in the tutoring charity - Lets Learn UK. 

## **Administration** 

Let’s Learn was officially registered as a charity with the Charity Commission (charity number 1206737) on 26[th] January 2024 and a bank account was established with Barclay’s Bank. A donation from a benefactor was received in December 2023 which was deposited in this account. 

## **Marketing** 

The name “Let’s Learn UK” was agreed and colours and branding guidelines were established. A web site was constructed outlining the ambitions of Let’s Learn and an online form created to enable potential students (or their parents) to make contact with the organisation. 




Let’s Learn contacted local high schools in the Redhill, Surrey, area and found difficulty in making contact with the appropriate decision makers. To assist our understanding of the tutoring market, a consultant was employed to make the relevant school contacts and advise on how the charity may identify appropriate students and schools for tutoring in the future. 

To gain awareness in the market, Let’s Learn placed posters in Redhill shopping areas and advertisements in local community websites local online magazines and met with community groups. 

## **Policies** 

The following policies were developed; 

1. Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking 

2. Data Protection 

3. Health and Safety 

4. Safeguarding 

One of the trustees undertook a Safeguarding course to gain a better understanding of best practices when working with children and young people. 

## **In conclusion** 

The first financial year of Let’s Learn saw a lot of the building blocks put in place for it to become a viable charity.
