LEGAL AND ADMINSTRATIVE DETAILS
The company was set up as a registered charity with the Charity commission on 25th January 2024 (registration number 1206715).
The current charity was set up to replace the previous charity (Charity Commission no. 303919) in the same name, but which was unincoporated. It was inactive during the period from its inception until the end of the reporting period awaiting transfer of assets from the previous charity. The trustees anticipate this transfer occuring during the next reporting period and thereafter the previous charity will be closed down and the activities of the previous charity will undertaken subsequently by the new charity.
The object of the charity is to maintain a village hall for the communal benefit of the inhabitants of Burnham Market and Burnham Norton

Legal status and organistion
Burnham Market & Norton Village Hall is a registered charity (number 1206715). Its address for correspondence purposes is c/o Mr R Stimpson, Batterbys, Creake Road, Burnham Market, King's Lynn Norfolk PE31 8EW. The charity trustees during the year to 31st March 2025 were:

Structure, Goverance and Management
Burnham Market & Norton Village Hall is registered with the Charity Commission (charity number 1206715). It registered with effect from 25th January 2024.
The charity seeks trustees from the regular users of the hall. The present trustees represent a good range of such persons. We will be inviting the organisations not at present represented to put forward nominees to add to the trustees after the AGM.
Objectives and Activities
The principal activity of the charity is to maintain a village hall for the communal benefit of the inhabitants of Burnham Market and Burnham Norton. The management committee aims to provide quality hall facilities at an affordable cost to both local and voluntary organisation and individuals. The charity depends upon the continual support of the community, by the use of the hall and a willingness to engage in fund raising activities.
When plannning activites for the year, the trustees have given due regard to the Commission's guidance on public benefit.

Achievements and Performance
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT 2024/25
The charity is currently inactive awaiting transfer of assets from the previous charity (Charity Commission no. 303919)
When it becomes active, it will carry out the same functions as the charity it replaces: The hall is regularly used by communtiy groups, the Parish Council for their monthly meetings, individuals and commercial concerns.
Financial review, investment policy and reserves
As the charity was inactive during the year there are no financial results to report upon.
The charity monitors major risks faced and takes any necessary steps to mitigate these.

1 Accounting policies
a. Basis of accounting
The accounts are prepared on a recipts and payments basis and accordingly income is recognised when received and expenditure when paid.
b. Taxation
Burnam Maket & Norton Village Hall Trust is a registered charity and as such is entitled to certain tax reliefs.
2 Transations with trustees
No remuneration or expenses or other benefits were paid to trustees or people connected with them by the charity in the year (2024 nil) in their roles as trustees.
No transactions were undertaken by the charity in which a Trsutee or connected person has a material interest (2024 nil)

AUDITOR'S REPORT

Mr Morris, a trustee, conducted the Audit work and can confirm that the accounts shows a true and fair picture of the financial condition of the Trust and that the Trust satisfies going concern requirements.
