Charities Aid foundation.
The Charity is a CIO and is governed by a constitution dated 23 July 2023: apart from the Redor.
who is ex-officio. 8 trustees are appointed by the parish councils of Bedale. Aiskew with
Leeming and Crakehall and 16 are elected.
The objects of the charity are.. To relieve either generally or individually persons resident in the
area of the parishes of Aiskew and Leeming Bar. Bedale. Burrill with Cowling. Crakehall. Firby.
Langlhorne and Rand Grange who are in conditions of need. hardship or distress by making
grants of money or providing or paying for items. services or facilities calculated to reduce the
need. hardship or distress of such persons.
Promoting the education including social and physical training of persons under the age of 25
years who are resident or have a parent or parents resident in the parishes ofAiskew and
Leeming Bar, Bedale. Burrill with Cowling. Crakehall. Firby. Langthorne or Rand Grange.
All the cash and investments ofthe 'old' charities1224035 and 5295171 have been transferred to
the CIO except the 2 fields. which are being processed by the Land Registry. Once Ihis is
complete the 'old' Charities will be formally merged in to the CIO.
During the financial year 2025-2026 the CIO received income of £62.494.65. which included cash
transfers of £36.694.09 from the'old, charities. Assets on 31 March 2026 lolalled £946.808.83 in
bank accounts and the Brewin Dolphin portfolio- the overall. total, return was 11.9% over the year.
Grants of £34.917.53 were made.
