Objectives and aims
The Object of the Cio the advancement of Christian education and Christian religion in accordance with the statement of faith of the trust.
Aims

Primarily to support and encourage existing independent Christian schools; for them to lay and maintain a foundation of biblical truth in education and to flourish and become established within the educational provision in the UK to the glory of God.

To facilitate the formation of new independent Christian schools of quality by providing guidance, support and information, mainly but not exclusively within the UK.

To enable member schools to successfully meet current government requirements.

Through its training and conferences, to equip and empower Christians from the UK, Europe and other national contexts to teach from the biblical worldview, in the light of God’s word, in the power of the Holy Spirit and for the sake of God’s Kingdom.

To develop and share insights on all aspects of curriculum and school management in line with the biblical worldview (as defined in policy documents).

To promote research both school and university-based, relating to Christianity and education; equipping the school communities to interpret, challenge and creatively develop culture.

To promote a variety of publications associated with the activities of the Trust for the benefit of all organisations sharing CST aims, including UK churches and home educators in addition to Christian schools.

To share information that will facilitate the development of Christian education in the UK, Europe and worldwide.
Background
The Christian Schools Trust was set up as a CIO on 19 January 2024 to take over the work of the unincorporated charity of the same name, charity registration number 293315.

Achievements and performance
The trustees have been working on the transfer of vested assets with a solicitor, and setting up the TUPE of staff. The official transfer of funds is expected to occur on 28 February 2026, after the main conference for the year.
When planning our activities for the year, the trustees have considered the Commission’s guidance on public benefit, and, in particular, the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion.
The trustees declare that they have approved the annual report on 23 February 2026.
