OBJECTIVES OF THE CHARITY
To promote humane behaviour towards animals by tso"lrtah"ng through funding appropriate care. protecb"on. treatment
and security for dogs which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness. maltreatment, poor
circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and
the prevention of cruelty and suffering among dogs. The relief of financial haidship among people living
or working in Lancashire and the surrounding a￿a by providing such persons ￿th goods or servi￿5 pertaining
to anirnal welfare which they ￿Uld not otherwise afftird through lack ol means.
MAIN ACTIVITIES IN RELATION TO THE OBJECTIVES
Supprlrt people who are struggling wth the ￿51 of living ¢￿SiS and are responsiblè for a dog or dogs.
Wé provide food. bedding and equipment for dogs arKI help their owners to make an init]"al eonsultab.on
appointment with their vet to ensure proper care.
We educate on welfare and good pradtrct wth caring for dogs.

TRUSTEES
The members of the committee of the charity are its trustees for the purpose of charity law and throughout
this report ale collectively referred to as'the trustees". As set out in the constitution the trustees are
elecied at the Annual General meeb.ng and serve until the follo￿n9 Annual General Meeting.

SUMMARY OF MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE CHARITY IN THE PERIOD
During the year ended 1 September 2025. Three Dogs chartty has continued to grow rts reputation local￿ as a
compassionate, community-led organisation supporting both people and Iheir dogs during period5 of hardship.
The charity provided SLJPPOrt, practical help, and adwce to over 100 individuals and families facing challenges
in¢luding financial hardship, dog behaviour and medical concerns: housing difficulties, and aC￿S lo essential
dog equipment and food. In addrtion, the charty provided ongoing practs.cal assistance to more than 20 people
each month through the provision of donaled rtems. emergency dog Suppl￿$. and equipment.
Three Dogs slrenglhened ils community presen¢e through information and awareness events aimed al improving
dog welfare. responsible ownership, ar¢d access to support seM¢es. The charty also worked collaboratively wrth
local organisalions and community grovps lo improve pathways to support for dog owners in need.
A significant achievement during the year was the development of a dedicated fundraising commrttee to 5UPPOrt
the long-lerm sustainability and growih of the charty- This has helped increase communrty involvement and
volunteer engagement
The charity also continued its work supporting wple experiencing homelessness, veterans and vulnerable
individuals with dogs. This included partnership SUPFK)rt wrth an organisation assisting veterans and serV￿e
users. Pracli¢al support included the provision of suttable hamesses and equipment lo enable owners lo safely
allend training and behawoural support sessions whe¥e leads alone were not appropriate.
During the year, Three Dogs hosted a successful first anniversary Community event attended by the Mayor. I￿al
veterinary representatives. chartbes. and supporter5. The event helped strengthen l(tal partnerships, raise
awareness of the charity's work. and Pfovide and information to members of the publi¢ regarding dog
welfare and support services.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The accounts for the period ended 1 st September 2025 showed a surplus of £307 with reserves of £4,482.
The Iruslees are working hard to increase income from granEs but this is prowng difficult given the current
economic condrtions.
Donations tolalled £300 in the year.
HOW OUR ACTIVITIES DELIVER PUBUC BENEFIT
The Charity supports people who are frnancialty Struggling lo care for their dogs, helpTng them access
essential items and services they may nol otherwse afford. Thi5 indudes our doggy bank. whi¢h prowdes
food. bedding. and basic supplies. We also assist vulnerable dog5 who have suffered neglect or poor
Irealmenl, ensuring they receive the care and protection they need. Our wort¢ helps improve animal welfare,
promotes responsible ownership, and supports pe(ple facing hardship.
RESERVES POUCY
The trustees consider that a prudent level of reserves for a ¢harty of this nature would be approximately
£5,000. However. due lo the current uncertainties around income generation and the eatly stage of the
Charitls development, (( has not yet been possible to build up reserves lo this level.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TRUSTEES
The charity's Iruslees are responsible for preparing the Tmstees Annual Report and the financial
statements in accordance wrth appli¢able law and Unrted Kingdom Accounting Standards Iuniled
Kingdom Generally Accepted AcGounling Praclicel.
The law applicable to ¢haiities in England and Wales requires the Iruslees to prepare financial
statements for each financial year which give a true and fair Mew of the slate of affairs of the charity
and of the incoming resources and application of resOur￿S of the charity for th* period. In
preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to".

for safeguarding the assets of the chartty and hen￿ for taking reasonable steps for the prevention
and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
