Achievements and performance
During the first year operating as a standalgne charity, we have managed
the transition from being a project run by the Methodist Church into a
ch8rity with a standalone Board of Trustees. This has Included recruiting
a Trustee from without of Methodlsm.
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
We have provided Bookshops for a number of National Conferences
including the Governing body of the Methodist Church, the United
Refomed ChurGh and th8 SalvatSon Army as well as many 5ndividual
Church groups.
We have undertaken a rebrandlng exerclse wilh new Artwork etc. to
move us from the obvlous Melhodisl links lo a more General Christian
Offering. We have done thls in a way that doe8 not disown out Methodist
heritage and put people off. We were always known as 'The Book
Centre. _ with a lag Ilne of Christian Resources for Life even under
Methodist governance. We have dropp8d the Methodist from the Tllle
and wlll dlsplay ourselves a "The Book Centre. and ke8p the Tag Ilne
Chrislian Resources for Llfe.
We have continued lo be a place where people Gan find 8 wmfortlng ear
and resourcas to support their faith Inv8s11galion.
