Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | The main work of the charity has been growing vegetables at our plot at Langley House. The majority of these vegetables have gone to our “sister” charity, Wivey Kitchen, who make meals for those in the community who need free meals. The coppicing work done over the winter has allowed the opening of wheelchair accessible paths through the Langley House woodland for the use of the residents. A number of seed planting events were carried out at both Langley House and at shows in Miverton and Wiveliscombe to show both children and adults how to plant and nurture seeds. |

| Achievements against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | The objectives were largely met in terms of vegetable production and the coppicing project. We had hoped to run a number of children’s events at Langley House but a new policy from the owners prohibiting more thanafewchildrenprohibited this. |
| Performance of fundraising activities against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | Wivey Grows successfully provided some £150 worth of honey in return for donations. There were some small donations but no grant funding applications were deemed necessary this year. |

| A description of the principal risks facing the charity |
Para 1.46 | The main risk to the charity is our continued presence at Langley House which is under the control of the owners of the House and they may either need the land back or sell the House. We believe the risk is low as relationships with the house, staff and residents is good. We have further mitigated this by obtaining and using a small allotment plotin Wiveliscombe. |
