## **Achievements and Performance**

1. Ramadan food parcels for over 80 of the poorest families covering the entire 30-day holy month period 

2. 5 x clean water wells for families with no access to clean water 

3. Qurbani Eid food parcels for all the poorest families in the village 

4. Over 30 grants for medical emergencies, medication, access to healthcare, school fees and basic shelter repair such as tin sheet replacement. 

As we look forward to the next year KADVIA will to continue supporting the most vulnerable villagers and seek to expand the water well building programme. The board of trustees believes that access to clean water is a priority that will lead to many benefits including the prevention of illness and medical conditions related to the consumption of unhygienic water especially in young children.

## **Financial Review**

## Introduction 

The KADVIA board of trustees are pleased to present their annual report and accounts for the year ended 13[th] December 2024. 

The board is satisfied with the performance of the charity during this initial foundational year and consider that the charity is well positioned to continue its activities during the coming years. 

The legal registration details of the charity are detailed below:

The charity is incorporated as a CIO and governed by its own constitution and the trustees have overall control and responsibility for policy and major decision making. 

## **The object of the KADVIA CIO is:** 

The relief of poverty within the area of Kandigoan and Debpara village, Bangladesh by providing grants of money, items and services to individuals and families in need to relieve poverty. 

## Public benefit 

The trustees have sought to ensure that the charity is fulfilling its charitable purpose to benefit the public by raising funds towards the objectives of the charity as defined in our constitution. In doing so we have considered both the Charities Act 2011 and Charity Commission guidance on public benefit. 

## Charitable activities 

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year: 

1. Ramadan food parcels for over 80 of the poorest families covering the entire 30-day holy month period 

2. 5 x clean water wells for families with no access to clean water 

3. Qurbani Eid food parcels for all the poorest families in the village

## Fundraising activities 

KADVIAs main source of charity fundraising activities during the year has been through social media related appeals and donations of zakat (Islamic tax on wealth that individuals must pay once per year) monies from contributors. 

## Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities 

With reference to the charity’s constitution, the trustees must comply with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 with regard to the keeping of accounting records, to the preparation and scrutiny of statements of account, and to the preparation of annual reports and returns. The statements of account, reports and returns must be sent to the Charity Commission, regardless of the income of the CIO, within 10 months of the financial year end.  The trustees must approve and sign the report and accounts, confirming that they give a true and fair view of the charity’s affairs as at the end of the financial year.
