The Trustees present their annual report together with the financial statements of the Sleelbacks Foundation for

directors, report under company law. The Trustees confirm that the Annual Report and financial slalemenls of
the charitable company comply with the CUTrenl slalutory requiremenls, the requirements of the charitable

applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in

Achlevements and pgrformanca
. Maln achievements ofthe Company
Sleelbacks in the Community has delivered an increase in the number of people playing and engaging with
cricket. including volunteering, managing and watching. The focus has stayed consislonl, supporting 80 plus
clubs. making cricket accessible for all, enga9ing chibdren and young people, and transforming women's and
girls, crid<ol.
Through the ECB County Grants Fund. we have awarded grgaleT than £60k lo help clubs create welcoming
environments, tÈckle the impact of climate change and improv8 facilities, under the direction of our impartial
panel which meets across three grant cycles each year.
18,000 students from 100 schools have taken part in cricket aclivily, including Chance lo Shine and Lord's
Taverner events, S00+ children allended one of our skills or holiday catnps with I00+ places promded free,
supported by heaKhy eating activities as part of our HAF programme. 754 children participated in Street cricket
sessions under chance lo Shine, al three local hubs.
23 clubs now have women and girls, se¢tions, and of our 230 junior teams, 33 are now girls only.
W8 have trained 150 volunteers and optsraled a number of new walking cricket hubs.
Financlal performance
a. Financlal review
In the 6 rllonlhs ended 31st January 2025, Income totalled £204,871 against expenditure of £131,324. The
Foundation held reserves of £79,465 al 31st January 2025 which is in line with the reserves policy.
Following the sale of the Hundred franchises, the ECB will be investing more money into Recreatlonal cricket.
The Trustees will be creating a viable case to a¢cess thi8 funding.
b. ReseNes policy
The Iruslees intend lo build up reserves lo a figure that would cover 6 months fixed overheads including salaries.

After making appropriate enquiries, the Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate

2.1 Basis of preparation of financlal statements
The financial slalemenls have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021
Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo ch8rilies
prepaTing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicablo in the UK
and Repukilic of Ireland IFRS 1021 leff8clive 1 January 2019), the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102) and the Companles Act 2006.

liabilities are initially recognised al historical cost or transaction value unless olhenNise slated in the
relevant accounting policy.
2.2 Income
All income is recognistsd once the Comp8ny has entillemenl to the income, it is probable that the
income will be received and the amount of income Teceivable can be measured reliably.
Grants are included in the Slatemanl of Financial ActNilies on a receivable basis. The balance of
income received for specific purposes but not expended during the period is shown in the relevant
funds on the Balance Sheet. Where income is received in advance of enlillemenl of feceipl, ils
recognition is d&ferred and included in creditors as deferred income. Where entitlement occurs
before income is received, the income is accrued.
2,3 Expenditure
Expenditure is recognised once ther8 is a legal or conslruclive obligation lo transfer economi¢ benefrt
lo a third patly, il is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and
the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified by aclivily. The costs
of each activity are made up of the lolal of direct costs and shared ¢osls, including 8UPPOrt costs
involved in undertaklng each aclivily. Direct costs allribuiable lo a single activity are allocated direclty
lo that aclivily. Shared costs which contribute lo mofft than one adivity and support wsls which are
not allribulable lo a single activity are apportioned between those aclivilies on a basis consistent with
the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation
charges allocated on the Portion of the asset's use.
Expenditure on raising funds includes all expenditure incurred by the Company lo raise funds for its
charitable purposes and includes costs of all fundraising activities events and non.charilable trading.

Liabilities are recognised when there is an obligation al the Balance Sheet dale as a result of a p8St

2.7 Flnanclal Instruments
The Company onty has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial
instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised al transaction value and subsequently
measured al their selllemenl valu8 with the exception of bank loan8 which are subsequently
measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
2.8 Pensions
The Company operates a defined contribution pension scheme and the pension charge represents
th& amounts payable by the Company to the fund in respect of the period.
